Tomorrow morning, President Trump will greet three American citizens who had been unjustly imprisoned by the North Korean regime.
Word of this first leaked out last Wednesday via a story in the Financial Times sourced to a South Korean human right advocacy group.
That's a bit of an overstatement, given that they're still in North Korea and this is all through a S Korean advocacy org https://t.co/vCc48RRfe0 https://t.co/ycviSSsPd5

The story was carried by most news organizations (I know I did) except CNN…where it wasn’t mentioned.
That evening, President Trump teased that the story was real.
As everybody is aware, the past Administration has long been asking for three hostages to be released from a North Korean Labor camp, but to no avail. Stay tuned!

This is how CNN’s media analyst Brian Stelter handled the tweet:
Context for Trump's tweet: Some prominent Trump supporters on social media (like @RyanAFournier) spread a rumor about the Americans being released, without evidence. https://t.co/ecdBTsbRl0

Right. This is the guy who works for a network whose business model is built on pushing rumors with no substantiation.
