In the aftermath of the various terror attacks in Paris, someone remarked that it would be interesting to sit in on the writers for Saturday Night Live as they attempted to parody [mc_name name=’Sen. John Kerry (D-MA)’ chamber=’senate’ mcid=’K000148′ ] bringing aging hippie James Taylor to Paris is sing in a show of US support for France. This bunch in the White House is nothing if not consistent. In last night’s “State of the Union” speech, Obama had this to say:
So the question for those of us here tonight is how we, all of us, can better reflect America’s hopes. I’ve served in Congress with many of you. I know many of you well. There are a lot of good people here, on both sides of the aisle. And many of you have told me that this isn’t what you signed up for — arguing past each other on cable shows, the constant fundraising, always looking over your shoulder at how the base will react to every decision.
The echoes of the last lie had hardly died in the Capitol when Obama’s fundraising team sent out this:
