The first act of the Mamdani administration's grand socialist experiment has produced exactly what critics predicted: not abundance, but a very expensive bill handed to everyone else.

Update: Ruben Gallego Is Still Trying to Run Away From Eric Swalwell, and It’s Still Not Working

Like Luna, we are, of course, just asking questions, and await word and possible next steps, if any, from the Ethics Committee as they look into the claims. For what it's worth, Gallego met with them on the Friday after Luna referenced the referral of the matter to Thune in a CBS News interview.

COMING ATTRACTIONS

President Trump will deliver remarks at The Villages, Florida, on Friday.

MORNING MUSING

I'd never characterize myself as a "royal-watcher." Sure, I watched Charles and Diana wed (who the heck didn't?!), and I have a passing acquaintance with the goings on in the House of Windsor, but I don't follow it closely. And I was agnostic about the visit from King Charles III and Queen Camilla.

But I do have to admit, I watched Charles' speech to Congress, and my observation was that he did a right fine job. His voice was actually more forceful than I expected it to be, and his speech was well-written, humorous, and well-delivered.

And much as I've never been a Charles (or Camilla) fan, I actually quite enjoyed the scenes of their visit.

Plus...this cracked me up:

I'm not even going to bother to read the Community Note under it. Let 'em stew. 👑
