Consequences go both ways. One way or another, Harp will reap his bitter harvest.
Naturally, news that the Capitol Police Officer who killed an unarmed woman and was previously punished for leaving his service weapon lying around in a bathroom, running a daycare with his wife, raised eyebrows on social media.
Vermont Drifts Toward a Property-Tax Doom Spiral
We used to call that corruption and demand that governments eliminate it. Now, policymakers and opinion leaders call it equity and demand more of it. Vermont exemplifies that change in attitude, a political transformation that places a devastating burden on the state’s working people and retirees.

Tracing of Brown University Killer's Gun Should Shatter Tracing Myths
For all the hysteria about gun tracing, the people screaming the loudest don't actually understand how tracing works and what its limitations are. In this case, we see a report that explicitly outlines what the ATF can learn from a trace, and that ain't much.
How Snatching Maduro Screws Up Everyone Else's Plans - Lemme Count the Ways
The freedom ripples look to rock some serious boats as they spread.
Something Kind of Funny Happened in Caracas
I guess the regime is antsy. If our military can come in and take Maduro in a couple of hours, it could easily happen to them, too. Needless to say, everyone on X got a good laugh tonight.
This Clown Tried to Doxx the Commander of Delta Force. It Blew Up in His Face.
Sorry, guy. You lose again. America won. Trump won. And Maduro isn’t going back.
We've Got Mamdani's Tenant Director's Old Tweets From Her Now-Deleted Account and YIKES!
Ironically (or perhaps appropriately), through all of Weaver's now-deleted Twitter history, you know what there was no evidence of? Her being even remotely qualified to manage a large government organization that's supposed to serve millions of people.
WHAT'S ON TAP?
Today on Capitol Hill...
The critters are officially back. House GOP members are meeting on Tuesday at the Trump-Kennedy Center to go over their legislative agenda for 2026. As noted below, President Trump is set to deliver remarks at the event.
Meanwhile, there are a handful of meetings/hearings set on the Hill:

White House What's Up
On Tuesday morning, President Trump will deliver remarks at the House GOP Member Retreat at the Trump-Kennedy Center. In the afternoon, he's got another policy meeting scheduled in the Oval Office.
Vice President JD Vance had a bit of a scare on Monday as a man who's since been taken into custody allegedly broke windows and caused damage at the Vances' Cincinnati home. Thankfully, the Vances were not present at the time, and there were no injuries reported.

Full Court Press...
The courts remained somewhat quiet on Monday, with few rulings of note. There was this one (which really is three related cases):
- ❌ Commonwealth of Massachusetts v. NIH/Association of American Universities v. NIH/Association of American Medical Colleges v. NIH (reduction of indirect cost reimbursement rate for research institutions) — 1st Circuit Court of Appeals AFFIRMS district court judgment in favor of plaintiffs.
Oh, and D.C. District Judge James Boasberg cut the administration a smidge of slack, allowing them an extension of time to file a proposal in response to his previous order regarding the return of TdA members to the U.S. So... ✅
⚖️ In J.G.G. v. Trump (TdA/AEA deportations), Judge James Boasberg (D.C.) GRANTS admin's request for extension to file proposal re: his order compelling admin to facilitate the return of removed TdA members or otherwise provide them a hearing. pic.twitter.com/uXjgxGk6mx

MORNING MUSING
Listen, I know it's uncharitable of me, but I'm deriving no small amount of satisfaction in the wake of Minnesota Governor Tim Walz's Monday announcement that he will not be seeking reelection after all. I'd feel for the guy, except my give-a-care impulse when it comes to Tim left the building as it became clearer and clearer to me that that guy is phony as the day is long.
I realize that, as of now, he'll still be filling out the rest of his current term, but I'm going to take this opportunity to bid the bad governor adieu...and counsel him not to let the door hit him on the way out.
The Governor is also expected to announce that I will be playing him in the biopic about his crimes! I’m so excited! Here’s my audition!
