When Your Dog Makes a Mess...

Thanks, Grandpa Joe. Thank you for this gift — this marvelous mess you've left us with. You've just given us all a lot to think about over the next few election cycles.

MORNING MUSING

Okay — we've had snow on the ground for four days, and I'm already over winter. I grow increasingly less tolerant of the cold and the snow and ice with each passing year. And now I'm at that stage in life where I have to worry about walking the dog so that she doesn't pull on the leash just as my foot finds a patch of ice. (Yes, yes, she needs better training. That's a work in progress.) I do enjoy Thanksgiving and Christmas and a good Hallmark movie, but I think I could enjoy those things just as much in warmer climes.
