Trump needs to pound home the message of the closing statement — and talk more about it, and then, when he thinks he's talking too much about it, talk about it again, making the point of how they've failed.

MORNING MUSING

Those of us who were alive and old enough to remember know exactly where we were and what we were doing that morning. We remember the exact shade of blue the sky was. We remember the gut punch of seeing that second plane moving in, low and slow and deliberately aimed at the South Tower. We remember the fear of looking up at the sky and wondering what other threats lurked there. We remember the sad heartache reflected in the eyes of virtually every stranger we encountered in the hours after. We remember the brave first responders who ran to help. We remember the Search and Rescue dogs and support dogs who played their role. We remember the men and women who volunteered to serve — the ones who never came back...and the ones who did and suffer still from wounds, some visible, some hidden. We remember. We won't ever forget.
