As we reported, a shooting at Old National Bank in downtown Louisville, Kentucky Monday morning left at least five people dead, including the shooter, and as many as nine others injured, including two Louisville police officers. Per the latest update from University Hospital, at least three patients have already been discharged.

While the motive for the shooting has not yet been identified, the shooter has. According to multiple reports, the shooter was 25-year-old Connor Sturgeon, an employee of the bank.

Some reports refer to Sturgeon as a former employee, though as of late morning Monday, his LinkedIn profile lists him as a “Syndications Associate and Portfolio Banker for Old National Bank.”

It is also being reported that Sturgeon allegedly sent a text to a friend prior to the shooting regarding his intention to “shoot up the bank.”
Prior to the incident, Sturgeon allegedly sent a text message to a friend expressing suicidal thoughts and a desire to “shoot up the bank.”
