Moore to the Point - Dishing It Out

We’ve all heard the saying: “She can dish it out, but she can’t take it.” We recently got a fascinating illustration of that principle in action with everyone’s favorite Congresswoman – Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez.

On Wednesday, Sandy from the Bronx was waylaid on the Capitol steps by a comedian – or maybe let’s call him a provocateur – who filmed himself making a rather obnoxious comment about her anatomy, to which she responded by approaching the camera and flashing the peace sign.

Ordinarily, I’d chalk it up to some random rude dude searching for his 15 seconds of viral fame. But, as she’s wont to do, AOC subsequently cried foul – lamenting that the institution she works in (that would be the United States Congress – arguably the most powerful legislative body on the planet) would “allow this” to happen.

The Congresswoman didn’t elaborate as to what exactly she’d propose to prevent such encounters, but bear in mind – it was just last Friday that she openly mocked Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh being chased out of a DC restaurant by hecklers unhappy with the Dobbs decision.

Apparently, it’s democracy in action when public servants she disagrees with are confronted. When it’s her on the receiving end? Not so much.
