ABC’s The View often provides good fodder for our entertainment. Yesterday was no exception. Meghan McCain carefully laid out several of former NYC Mayor Mike Bloomberg’s greatest (worst) hits.
The clip in the tweet below begins with her noting his 2011 comments on PBS regarding “enormous cohorts” of young black and Latino men who “don’t know how to behave in the workplace where they have to work collaboratively and collectively.” As McCain points out, these weren’t off-hand comments in a private setting — Bloomberg made them during an interview with PBS News Hour.
McCain also noted the lawsuit against Bloomberg, reported over the weekend by the Washington Post, which alleges, among other things that:
Garrison alleged that Bloomberg berated female employees who got pregnant. “What the hell did you do a thing like that for?” Bloomberg allegedly told one pregnant employee. On another occasion, the lawsuit said, Bloomberg berated a female employee who had trouble finding a nanny. “It’s a f—— baby! . . . All you need is some black who doesn’t have to speak English to rescue it from a burning building.”

Joy Behar, seemingly unable to acknowledge that Bloomberg, despite his billions, is an extraordinarily flawed candidate (no worries — Elizabeth Warren obliterated him last night during the debate in Las Vegas – READ: Elizabeth Warren Ends Michael Bloomberg’s Campaign at Nevada Debate), immediately (and repeatedly) referred to her prepared notes…to counter with the evil deeds of Donald Trump. (As an aside — she had to look at her notes for this? Behar’s so versed in Trump Derangement Syndrome, I would think she has this stuff down cold.)
Time and again, Behar attempted to take the “but Trump!” tack and, as McCain emphasized that she wasn’t defending Trump, appeared utterly bewildered by the concept that pointing out the many drawbacks of candidate Bloomberg is not akin to falling into Trump’s arms. (I think it’s a safe bet we’ll never see that from Meghan McCain.)
The entire exchange left Behar sputtering like an Austin Powers fembot immediately pre-explosion.
I think Joy is broken. https://t.co/qMiQF3xoHZ
