You know, some claims that are made by the political opposition don't take long, complex statements to debunk, because some of the arguments are just ridiculous on their face, pure and simple, with no long-winded explanations needed.
The arguments made against stringent voter ID requirements fall into this category, with recent polling confirming that a vast majority of the American people have not been persuaded against voter ID despite decades of Democrat campaigns against it, where race-based scare tactics have typically been employed.
Nevertheless, Democrats persist with the foolishness while failing to acknowledge how absurd it is to need forms of photo ID to buy alcohol or to be a volunteer snow plower in Mayor Zohran Mamdani's New York City, but not to vote.

More recently, the debate got even more ridiculous when a Democrat congresswoman chimed in after remarks Sen. Dave McCormick (R-PA) made during a Fox News interview on Tuesday, when discussing the SAVE America Act:
I mean, you have to have an ID to get a six-pack, you have to have it to give blood, you have to have it to have a child, and you have to have it to get married. This is a commonsense thing.

This prompted Democrat Rep. Kelly Morrison (MN-03) to weigh in with the following response:

You don't need an ID to give birth. https://t.co/gUgzIFjJT6
Morrison's statement did not go over well with people who knew better, and who understood the gist of McCormick's comments even while Morrison pretended not to:
Umm, have you ever been a patient?

When you check in to a hospital to have a baby, or for any other reason, you need to register with an ID.
You need an ID to register at a doctor's office, and you update it every year.

In Virginia youβd need ID for pre-admission and admission registration.
Youβd also need ID for security purposes to the labor and delivery section of the hospital.
For the birth registration, identity is verified.

"bring your photo ID" is in the text.
What do I do, Kelly?
WHAT DO I DO?? https://t.co/MGYolkFz6A
"What do I do?" Don't be like Rep. Morrison, that's what. Do yourself a favor, and bring those forms of ID they tell you to bring when your unborn baby tees up for liftoff and announces, "It's time, y'all!"
