One of the most important things a Republican president can do when they take office is to immediately set out to fulfill important campaign promises, to show the voters who elected them that they meant what they said. This is something Donald Trump did very early on at the start of the 47 era with the implementation of his immigration enforcement agenda.
We're a little over a year into his second term in office, and even Trump's staunchest critics would have to agree that the southern border is 100x more secure now than it was when Joe Biden left office. Further, our streets are safer thanks to the immigration enforcement agents who risk their lives every day to take criminal illegals off the streets.
But in blue cities and states that refuse to cooperate with the feds on ICE detainers, criminal illegals often end up back on the streets, which means ICE has to track them down. This sometimes leads to the tense and oftentimes violent confrontations we've seen in states like Minnesota and Oregon between leftist agitators and the agents.

California is another one of those states where the well-funded Resistance wreaked havoc on city streets and highways when enforcement operations came to town, leading Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass (D) and Gov. Gavin Newsom (D) to crow about the alleged cruelty of it all and scream about the nerve of DHS to come in to try and clean up the Democrats' messes.
But just as action is critically important in these missions, information warfare is, too, which is what we saw from DHS on Friday with a message aimed not just at Newsom but also voters, all of whom need to know just the types of people who will be set free to potentially harm again if Newsom and officials in blue cities continue to refuse to cooperate:
I am urgently calling on @gavinnewsom to agree to NOT release the 33,179 criminal illegal aliens in California’s custody back into the public without notifying ICE.
The crimes of these aliens include 399 homicides, 3,313 assaults, 3,171 burglaries, 1,011 robberies, 8,380 dangerous drugs offenses, 1,984 weapons offenses, and 1,293 sexual predatory offenses.

They dropped a list of receipts as well on some of the offenders who were released in California after detainers weren't honored, noting that some of them had eventually been taken into custody by ICE, while others were still at large:

Recent public safety threats released directly from California jails into American communities include:
SANCTUARY CALAMITY. There are currently 33,179 criminal illegal aliens in Gavin Newsom’s custody with active ICE detainers.

Not only is it important for Californians to know this, but it's also important for the American people to see. Because even though it is a blue state, many in the state don't vote for unfettered illegal immigration. Further, Newsom has said he's considering a 2028 presidential run. Accordingly, the rest of America needs to know and understand just how far Democrats will go and just how much danger they are willing to put communities in to protect criminal illegals over American citizens.
Editor’s Note: Thanks to President Trump, illegal immigration into our great country has virtually stopped. Despite the radical left's lies, new legislation wasn't needed to secure our border, just a new president.
