Tim Walz Further Embarrasses Himself With Pathetic, Belated 'Statement' on Minnesota Church Invasion

As RedState reported earlier, the silence from Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz (D) in response to the disgusting anti-ICE church invasion that took place Sunday in St. Paul has spoken volumes about Walz's "leadership" in the face of an ever-growing contingent of far-left wacktivists who are wreaking havoc in the state in response to the presence of ICE.

As we also noted, just weeks ago, the failed 2024 Democrat vice presidential nominee gave remarks while surrounded by purported community leaders in which he warned about the supposed possibility that ICE would target places of worship.

"So I would fully expect, and we are preparing for, an influx of more agents, more of the very visible public theatrics of the raids, of the harassment," Walz fearmongered just before the Christmas holiday. "I would not put it past this administration to target midnight mass services amongst folks going to worship, because that's who they are." No such targeting of churches ever happened.

Well, I didn't think it was possible, but the update to this story is perhaps even more pathetic than the one about Walz staying strangely quiet about it.

A statement has finally been released, well over 24 hours after the incident, but not from Tim Walz directly. It came from his office, in the form of a canned, written statement:

“The Governor has repeatedly and unequivocally urged protesters to do so peacefully. While people have a right to speak out, he in no way supports interrupting a place of worship.”

Think he'll hold a press conference about what happened Sunday to admonish the agitators? Think he'll put out a video speech to Minnesota residents condemning the actions of the "peaceful protesters"?

I think we all know the answer to both of those questions, and the answers would only be "yes" if the targets of his speech and presser were ICE and the Trump administration, not the outrage mobs he and other Democrats in Minnesota have repeatedly whipped up with their incendiary rhetoric.

I'm not sure what's worse - the fact that Walz stayed silent for as long as he did or the fact that he couldn't even be bothered to put out a video statement expressly coming down on the law-breaking agitators and demanding arrests:

Oh, Timmy, where are you?
