Details are scarce at this hour, but local media outlets are reporting that two people were shot by Customs and Border Protection (CBP) agents earlier in the day on Thursday in Portland, Oregon.
From KATU:
U.S. Customs and Border Protection agents shot two people in Portland on Thursday afternoon, according to the FBI, Portland police and city officials.
[...]
Portland police said at a 2:24 p.m., they had learned that a man who had been shot called to request help near Northeast 146th Avenue and East Burnside. Arriving officers found a man and a woman wounded from apparent gunshot wounds. Police confirmed federal agents were involved.
Portland's police chief is calling for "calm" after the incident, which comes on the heels of what happened in Minnesota on Wednesday, where an anti-ICE agitator hit an immigration enforcement agent with her SUV and was killed by gunfire:
Portland Police Chief Bob Day urged calm amid "heightened emotion" following a deadly ICE officer-involved shooting in Minneapolis on Wednesday.
"We are still in the early stages of this incident," Day said in a statement. "We understand the heightened emotion and tension many are feeling in the wake of the shooting in Minneapolis, but I am asking the community to remain calm as we work to learn more."
The Portland FBI initially tweeted out information about the situation, but the tweet is no longer there:
FBI Portland deleted their post on the shooting. At this moment we don't know why.

According to TPM's Andy Ngo, who has extensively covered Portland rioters over the last several years, there's an unconfirmed report that this possibly resulted from the CBP agents allegedly almost being run over:
Anti-ICE accounts have circulated screenshots alleging that a 911 dispatcher leaked to them information about a call for police assistance.
The call log also shows a 911 call from Border Patrol stated that a husband and wife who were shot almost ran the agent(s) over. ABC News is reporting that the shooting occurred near East Burnside and 141st Avenue.

The condition of the two who were shot is not known.
Portland has been the scene of anti-ICE demonstrations for months, as we've previously reported, and there have been numerous clashes between agitators, Portland police, and federal agents.
UPDATE: DHS says the two who were shot are believed to be members of the Tren de Aragua gang:
At 2:19 PST, US Border Patrol agents were conducting a targeted vehicle stop in Portland, Oregon. The passenger of the vehicle and target is a Venezuelan illegal alien affiliated with the transnational Tren de Aragua prostitution ring and involved in a recent shooting in Portland. The vehicle driver is believed to be a member of the vicious Venezuelan gang Tren de Aragua. When agents identified themselves to the vehicle occupants, the driver weaponized his vehicle and attempted to run over the law enforcement agents.
Fearing for his life and safety, an agent fired a defensive shot. The driver drove off with the passenger, fleeing the scene.
This situation is evolving and more information is forthcoming.
