Something pretty disturbing that happened in April was when Sen. Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) was asked about the domestic terror attacks against Tesla showrooms.

The question came not long after FBI Director Kash Patel confirmed the existence of a Tesla task force, posting that, "we have taken additional steps to crack down and coordinate our response. This is domestic terrorism. Those responsible will be pursued, caught, and brought to justice."

When a reporter asked Schumer his thoughts on the attacks, he wouldn't answer, stating, "I can't talk about Tesla, but Elon Musk is a disaster for America, and America knows it."

In fact, very few Democrats and very few of their media allies have stepped up to call the attacks unacceptable. Instead, they've continued to feed the woke monster in their scathing attacks on Musk and Tesla, something that, in my opinion, denotes either tacit endorsement of acts of intimidation and/or violent behavior, cowardliness when it comes to confronting and condemning it, or both.

Former CNN editor at large Chris Cillizza has also fed the woke monster for years, repeatedly attacking Donald Trump and Republicans, and also involving himself, as many others in the mainstream press did, in the attempted cover-up of former President Joe Biden's decline.

It was only after Donald Trump won a second term in 2024 that Cillizza finally acknowledged that he should have done a better job of pushing the Biden-Harris White House for answers about Biden's health. But for many, the admission was too little, too late.

And now, the same guy who has joined the chorus of leftists, media figures, and influencers in demagoguing and trashing the Tesla CEO and DOGE advisor over the last four months has seen the chickens come home to roost, with his Tesla vehicle being hit with anti-Musk messaging over the weekend:

Former CNN journalist Chris Cillizza revealed on Wednesday that his Tesla was defaced with a sign reading "Musk is a Nazi," which someone taped to his bumper during his son’s soccer tournament over the weekend.

Cillizza said on his Substack that the politicization of everyday products is "making us crazy" and deepening the political divide between Americans.

He reflected on the "journey" he's been on since purchasing his Tesla about five years ago, noting that owning an electric vehicle once meant "coding yourself as like an enviro-liberal-wacko-communist," but is now seen as a symbol of the right.

I agree that making everything political is dumb, but this is a monster that Cillizza and his ilk on the left made blueprints for and built from start to finish. 

And while I denounce acts of attempted intimidation, vandalism, and violence in the strongest of terms, the people who turn a blind eye to the types of troubling incidents as we've seen this year when they happen to someone else or who otherwise feed into the false narratives and smears shouldn't be too surprised when things like this happen in their backyard.
