Woke Congressman Proves Dems Have Learned Nothing During Deranged Interview on Elon Musk

Though Elon Musk has made his frustration clear over the fact that the DOGE-recommended spending cuts have not yet been implemented/codified by Congress, he doesn't have any regrets over taking on the roles of prominent Donald Trump supporter and DOGE leader/advisor, saying in a recent interview with Fox News anchor Lara Trump that "I think it was essential for President Trump to win to ensure that America remained great, and that we reach greater heights."

As RedState reported, Musk also noted in the same segment that "if President Trump had not won, I think the Democrat campaign to import vast numbers of illegal voters would have succeeded." Musk went on to say that he worried that in such a scenario, a "one-party state from which we could never escape" would emerge.

The Tesla CEO and Twitter owner also confirmed in late April that he would be stepping back "significantly" from his DOGE responsibilities soon to focus on other projects, although he didn't rule out spending "a day or two per week on government matters for as long as the President would like me to do so."

Amid the debate over Musk's role in the Trump-Vance administration, Musk Derangement Syndrome-suffering Democrats have demanded that Trump confirm Musk's time as a "special government employee" will come to a close effective May 30th, which Democrats have repeatedly asserted, like they did in a letter sent in early April, would be the final day of what they described as the 130 day legal limit for Musk to be able to hold the position:

Dozens of House Democrats are demanding President Trump confirm that Elon Musk will leave his role in the administration by May 30.

A group of 77 lawmakers, led by Rep. Greg Casar (D-Texas), sent a letter to Trump on Wednesday, emphasizing the tech billionaire can only serve in his role as a special government employee for 130 days.

“Considering the repeated violations of the law by Musk and your administration, we demand an immediate public statement from your administration making clear that Musk will resign and surrender all decision making authority, as required by law, by May 30th,” they wrote.

And now, as that time approaches and perhaps with the thought in mind that Musk has said he'll keep helping Trump here and there when he needs him, Casar is escalating the rhetoric, saying it's "illegal" for Musk to stay on after May 30th.

Most concerningly, he essentially admitted that Congressional Democrats should engage in a lawfare-esque campaign to investigate if "any criminal laws" were broken by Musk "and any other billionaire that has broken any criminal laws [by] enriching themselves using the power of the White House" in the event they get a majority in Congress during the midterms:

Yeah, "Democrats promise to investigate guy who worked to root out rampant waste, fraud, and abuse in government" should be a great campaign slogan going into 2026, guys. Go for it.

But beyond that, Musk potentially could serve in an informal, non-employee advisory role with Trump for as long as they both wanted him to, and there's not much, if anything, Democrats could do about it beyond ranting about it on MSNBC. And in the event they did win back the majority and they pulled the investigation stunt, the Republican response would be must-see television, not to mention how Musk and Trump would react.

On one hand, Casar's threats to cancel Musk are quite comical. But the fact that he's openly floating lawfare-like tactics despite the way they backfired spectacularly on Democrats in 2024 just confirms that they still haven't learned a dang thing about why they lost.
