You know, after what happened to Bud Light, and after Donald Trump's resounding election victory in November, one would think woketivists in corporate America would want to dial it down a bit if for no other reason than to spare their colleagues the humiliation that comes from the pushback that inevitably ensues.
While some clearly have gotten the message, others have not, which brings us to the latest example, which comes from an executive at Ford Motor Company.
A man named Barrett Evans, who reportedly is the "Chief Learning Officer" at Ford, recently detailed an alleged exchange with a man who he says watched Fox News "for the entire ride" on their flight from San Diego to their next destination.

Apparently triggered by the passenger's choice of news sources, Evans claimed on his Threads social media page (which is no longer accessible for some reason) that he confronted the elderly man after getting off the plane once he spotted the man and his wife both utilizing airport wheelchairs and being assisted to the next gate.
What followed next was one of the most unhinged rants I have ever read:
"Deplaning and I notice he and his wife getting into their airport wheelchairs to be pushed to next gate. My filter was malfunctioning…"
"Love to see you supporting DEI."
"Not me!"
"Yes - you. That wheelchair, and the human pushing it, are provided at no direct cost to you - rather by a subsidized cost attributed to every passenger in this airport. Provided to level the playing field - for you."
In a second post, Evans explained his rationale for aggressively harassing the couple and for alleging the man and his wife were hypocritical beneficiaries of DEI:
"Not all passengers need assistance. But for those who do - for whatever reason - the service ensures they can access the airport, navigate security, and board their plane safely and with dignity.
The cost being shared ensures that the service is available to those who need it, not just those who could afford to pay extra.
This is a real-world infrastructure of equity in action: acknowledging that different people have different needs, and creating systems to support those differences fairly."
Here are screen grabs of the rant and a photo of Evans (on the left) and an unidentified man at a Pride event:
A woke @Ford executive posted a ‘not so chivalrous’ rant on Threads, detailing how he confronted an elderly plane passenger in a wheelchair, for watching Fox News on a flight. He mocked the man for ‘supporting DEI’.

Evans got lit up on Twitter/X in response:
It is The Air Carrier Access Act of 1986 (ACAA) that made wheelchair assistance the rule, NOT the #DEIScam. "Equity" is NOT "Equality".

As a @Ford exec, @chivalryandchampagne, you should probably just admit you got off on berating an elderly passenger for your own jollies. https://t.co/YCrkTcTf5e
I don't know what a "Chief Learning Officer" is and neither do you, so I looked it up. So far as I can tell, they design cultural sensitivity seminars that waste everyone's time. In other words, this fruit has a makework DEI job that only exists to make him employable. https://t.co/uLYYiraB5l pic.twitter.com/JhJoiehvKF

As of this writing, it appears Evans has all his social media accounts on lockdown, including Threads and Instagram. His LinkedIn appears to have either been deleted or hidden.
Now, some folks are going to wonder if this actually happened as he claimed it did. With social media keyboard warriors being notorious for embellishing things, that's an understandable reaction. But whether it happened or not, that Evans thought it made him look good to virtue signal and thump his chest about the supposed incident is a horrible look, not just for him but for Ford.
I've already seen people on Twitter/X tagging the Ford account and inquiring about Evans, so there is a strong likelihood that they already know about it and are getting their PR response together as we speak.
While it remains to be seen how they respond, if Ford's campaign to show support for all things good and America is a reliable indicator, Evans may find himself holding a pink slip sooner rather than later:
