Not surprisingly, Democrats who repeatedly told us amid the lawfare campaign they waged against Donald Trump that "no one is above the law" seem not to hold the same view when it comes to the suspected domestic terrorists who are firing gunshots, committing arson, and planting incendiary devices at Tesla dealerships and charging stations across the country.
As we reported Thursday, Rep. Dan Goldman (D-NY) is Exhibit A on this behavior, bizarrely proclaiming on Tuesday after the FBI announced an investigative Tesla task force that the Trump administration was engaging in "political weaponization of the DOJ" and "lawfare" because they wanted to ensure the anti-Tesla perps were brought to justice.
"This is the political weaponization of the DOJ," he tweeted. "Trump uses his official authority to defend his benefactor Elon Musk. The FBI then creates a task force to use our law enforcement to 'crack down' on adversaries of Musk’s. Where are the Republicans so opposed to 'lawfare'?" he went on to write.

Though Goldman didn't explain how it was "lawfare" to investigate actual crimes that have been committed versus manufacturing "crimes" to try and hamstring a potential presidential opponent's campaign, it should be noted that the headline he was responding to very clearly read "FBI launches task force to crack down on violent Tesla attacks, mitigate threats."
It did not read "FBI launches task force to crack down on Elon Musk's adversaries."
On Wednesday, former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) was asked about the violent attacks, and the non-answer she gave spoke volumes:

"Stunning and brave," media critic Joe Concha quipped after he watched the clip.
I mean, seriously. How hard could this be? It would have taken less time for her to simply say, "Violence is not the answer," than the response she gave.
House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY) reportedly refused to comment as well when he was asked about the issue earlier this week.
Needless to say, these are sharp departures from how Democrats used to talk about "domestic terrorism":
"We have to act decisively to address the poison of White supremacy and domestic terrorism in America. It's a poison, it's a cancer, it's destroying our society. It shouldn't be a partisan issue. It's not a Democratic issue or Republican issue, dealing with the crisis of violent White supremacy. It is an American issue," Jeffries said in 2022.
Pelosi applauded her Democratic colleagues in 2018 for "refusing to accept the House GOP's continued failure to investigate domestic terrorism." Pelosi has yet to condemn the House Democrats for failing to condemn domestic terrorism against Tesla.
As per the norm, it's always (D)ifferent when Democrats do it. Case in point:

The only thing to add to that is to ask if the Democrats' refusal to condemn these attacks equates to violence in and of itself. Remember, we were reliably informed for years by the left that "silence = violence." Your rules, Democrats. Your rules.
