The stories, images, and videos coming out of Israel as we speak are horrifying, and unfortunately, Hamas is continuing its campaign of terror as Israel responds with full force to defend itself and its people.

Also unfortunate but on a different level have been the responses to the attacks from so-called Democrat "leaders" here in the United States with President Joe Biden being all but MIA and high-ranking members of his administration only making the situation worse.

Similarly appalling have been the reactions of AOC's "Squad" of Democratic Socialists, who all interestingly and tellingly have called for an "immediate ceasefire" and a "de-escalation" of the conflict (because of course they are) while taking an absolutely shameless blame-the-victim approach to Hamas' capture, rape, and slaughter of innocent Israeli civilians, which reportedly includes Holocaust survivors.

“As part of achieving a just and lasting peace, we must do our part to stop this violence and trauma by ending U.S. government support for Israeli military occupation and apartheid," Rep. Cori Bush (D-Mo.) wrote in her despicable statement.

Perhaps worst of all was Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-Mich.), arguably the leader of the House's Hamas Caucus, with her belated statement suggesting that there could be peace in the region only after "lifting the blockade, ending the occupation, and dismantling the apartheid system that creates the suffocating, dehumanizing conditions that can lead to resistance."

To add insult to injury, Tlaib, who has been strangely quiet on social media since the attacks started despite the fact that the so-called Palestinian cause is near and dear to her heart considering her parents are Palestinian immigrants, it was noted Monday that Tlaib is still proudly displaying the Palestinian flag in the hallway outside of her Congressional office even after reports that Americans were among the murdered in Israel by Hamas terrorists:

Tlaib’s office did not respond to comment about the Palestinian flag hanging outside her office amid the invasion of Israel. A spokesperson for House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY) did not respond to a request for comment.

Former House Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) condemned members of the House who continue to stand with Palestine and against Israel, saying that “antisemitism” in the House should be confronted.

“Allowing the elected members of this body to speak antisemitism and not condemn it is wrong,” McCarthy said at a press conference.

Here's a photo from Monday showing the flag:

No doubt this altered map of the Middle East in her office still has this sticky note on it as well:

Tlaib is also an admitted supporter of the anti-Semitic BDS movement and is a member of the Democratic Socialists of America, who held a "solidarity" rally for the Palestinians Sunday in New York City.
