As RedState previously reported, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) has been busy over the last few days reminding us all over again of her outright illiteracy when it comes to the Constitution, the different branches of government, as well as how the Supreme Court is supposed to operate.
First up was how she declared in the aftermath of the Supreme Court ruling Thursday in a 6-3 decision against the use of race-based standards in college admissions that the SCOTUS would also have “abolished legacy admissions, aka affirmative action for the privileged” had they truly been “serious” about “colorblindness”:
If SCOTUS was serious about their ludicrous “colorblindness” claims, they would have abolished legacy admissions, aka affirmative action for the privileged.
70% of Harvard’s legacy applicants are white. SCOTUS didn’t touch that – which would have impacted them and their patrons.

As my colleague Nick Arama explained at the time, however, “the case had nothing at all to do with legacy applicants. SCOTUS ‘didn’t touch that’ because it had nothing to do with the matter before it. They can’t just rule on matters not even before them. What a failure to truly understand the role of the Court.”
And on Sunday, the leader of the so-called “Squad” told CNN’s Dana Bash on the “State of the Union” program that investigations and subpoenas should be in order for Supreme Court Justices who hand down rulings that trigger her, ignoring the whole “separation of powers” thing. She also hinted at possibly trying to impeach them:
Rep. @AOC: “If Chief Justice Roberts will not come before Congress for an investigation voluntarily, I believe that we should be considering subpoenas, we should … pass much more binding & stringent ethics guidelines where we see members of the Supreme Court potentially breaking… pic.twitter.com/C5SqIk9u4L

I figure there are very few Ocasio-Cortez fans who read this website, but for any who are, here’s a flashback to her – fresh off of winning her Congressional seat in 2018 – informing us just how much she understands the three branches of government aka the “three chambers of Congress,” I mean “the three chambers of government,” I mean – oh heck, I’ll just let her explain:
“If we work our butts off to make sure that we take back all three chambers of Congress, uh, rather, all three chambers of government — the presidency, the Senate and the House — in 2020. We can’t start working in 2020.”

It almost seems cruel at this point to keep pointing out how bad she is at what she does, but it’s important to document such things for the record.
She continues to be the gift that keeps on giving, doesn’t she? Bless her heart.
