Travis Tritt Has Best Response to Vaccine Fretters at WaPo, Elsewhere on National Anthem Performance

My RedState colleague and our most excellent cartoonist Jim Thompson hit a home run earlier regarding how the World Series matchup has become a nightmare for the Major League Baseball wokesters who thought it was a good idea to pull the All-Star game from Georgia earlier this year in response to the left-wing fauxtrage over the Georgia election integrity reform bill that had been passed and signed into law at the time.

The series will be played in both Georgia and Texas, as the teams are the Atlanta Braves and the Houston Astros. These are also, of course, states that have not gone Full Metal Dictator over mask and coronavirus vaccine mandates, another triggering point for other wokesters on the left.

Which brings me to the predictable fretting from the Washington Post over the news that country music legend Travis Tritt would be performing the national anthem at last night’s game between the Los Angeles Dodgers and the Atlanta Braves (played in Atlanta), game six of the NLCS. The Braves won the game and the series, but the Washington Post sure came off as whiny losers in this tweet and the accompanying article:

From the piece:

If Game 6 of the National League Championship Series were held at Dodger Stadium, country star Travis Tritt probably would not be willing to perform the national anthem.

Doing so would violate the Georgia native’s oft-stated policy against performing in any venue that requires patrons to be vaccinated against the coronavirus. Proof of vaccination or a negative coronavirus test has been required for entry into Dodgers home games throughout the postseason.

Truist Park, home of the Atlanta Braves, does not have such a policy. Tritt will perform the national anthem there Saturday night.

I mean the disappointment was palpable here. It’s almost like they were wishing the game had been held in L.A. so Tritt wouldn’t have been able to perform a song he has proudly performed many times during the course of his career.

Despite the “concern” and panicking from the WaPo and other the mask patrol mobs in the media and on the left in this country, Tritt went on to sing the national anthem, and had a pointed response for critics afterwards on Twitter.

“So the wing nut cancel culture tried to pressure the Atlanta Braves into forcing me not to sing the National Anthem at Game 6 of the NLCS,” Tritt tweeted. “I’m so thankful that the @braves did not cave to this pressure and refused to be bullied. Thanks for allowing me to pay tribute to America.”

He also went full savage not long after that in a response we’ll get to in just a minute.

On the Washington Post’s “report,” I found it rather interesting considering they had not one word to say when President Joe Biden, our country’s leading proponent of mask and coronavirus vaccine mandates to the point that they get people fired from their jobs, was seen doing this during the Congressional baseball game last month:

But perhaps they cut him a break because he did wear a mask … when he met up for a friendly chat with the mascots:

And just to further demonstrate how much of a savage he is, Tritt tweeted this as well after the game:

“Atlanta lost the MLB All Star Game because of left wing morons. More than fitting that half of the World Series games will be played in Atlanta. Karma is a cruel b*tch!”

This guy is just awesome. Make sure to follow him on Twitter and Instagram, where he posts frequent updates on tour dates, family and concert photos, etc. – and where he also makes no bones about where he stands on things.
