David Frum Can’t Deal After Megyn Kelly Buries Him During Child Vaccination Debate

Watching Never Trumpers get slam-dunked never, ever gets old, as we were reminded last week during the hilarious Jennifer Rubin versus Politico battle and earlier today when truuuuuuuue conservative David Frum thought he could get away with painting independent journalist Megyn Kelly as an “anti-vaxxer” simply because she has raised questions about the Wuhan vaccine and administering it to children.

It all started after Frum, like many this morning, heard the news about how drugmaker Pfizer has declared that their coronavirus vaccine works in children 5-11. Here’s what the Associated Press reported before we get into the back and forth between Kelly and Frum:

For elementary school-aged kids, Pfizer tested a much lower dose — a third of the amount that’s in each shot given now. Yet after their second dose, children ages 5 to 11 developed coronavirus-fighting antibody levels just as strong as teenagers and young adults getting the regular-strength shots, Dr. Bill Gruber, a Pfizer senior vice president, told The Associated Press.

The kid dosage also proved safe, with similar or fewer temporary side effects — such as sore arms, fever or achiness — that teens experience, he said.

“I think we really hit the sweet spot,” said Gruber, who’s also a pediatrician.

But while Pfizer plans to apply to the FDA ASAP for an emergency use authorization, Frum was immediately escorted to the burn ward by Kelly today after she took issue with the way he characterized people who have questions about the vaccine, especially regarding its use on children, even in smaller dosages. Here’s how it all started (language warning for some of the tweets):

Kelly proceeded to rip him, calling him the a-word because he defaulted to “demonizing” parents who have legitimate concerns:

It was then we learned that Frum just can’t deal when confronted by someone who is much stronger than him and who will call out his holier-than-thou BS:

He went on to further prove points many on the right have made about him in the past by completely ignoring all the times Kelly has encouraged people to get the vaccine:

Ultimately Kelly got the last word, and I hear – but can’t confirm – the wahmbulance was called for Frum because he hasn’t tweeted back to her since (as of this writing):

We’ve gotten to the point in the pandemic (actually reached it a while back) where the term “anti-vax” has become the latest “shut down the debate” card for the left, much like falsely claiming “racism,” “sexism,” etc.

“Anti-vax” simply has no meaning anymore if people like Tucker Carlson and Megyn Kelly, who have urged people to get the vaccine, are being labeled “anti-vax” because they raise questions about mandates, side effects, its use in children, etc.

As far as the Pfizer report itself, my colleague and RedState senior editor Brandon Morse wrote earlier about some details buried in a New York Times story on it that you might want to check out. Unlike David Frum, we’re fans of trying to help people become more attuned to health-related matters so they can make informed decisions for themselves and for their family.
