CNN Completely Omits the Word 'Women' From Story on Cervical Cancer Screenings and I'm at a Loss for Words Here

Even knowing how CNN operates from a “woke pronouns” premise, I would not have believed this next story until I’d seen it for myself.

The “Facts First” network published a piece Thursday on how the American Cancer Society is now recommending cervical cancer screenings for women starting at age 25, not 21.

Except they didn’t mention the word “women” in the story. Anywhere. Not even in a tweet they posted promoting it. Instead, the words they used were “individuals with a cervix” – seriously:

My first thought was “WTH?” Then I clicked on the story, read it in full, and saw the same “individuals” terminology.” I’m excerpting the story below, noting in bold where some form of the word “women” should appear but doesn’t:

Individuals with a cervix [women] are now recommended to start cervical cancers screening at 25 and continue through age 65, with the primary human papillomavirus (HPV) testing every five years as the preferred method of testing, according to a new guideline released Thursday by the American Cancer Society.

Cervical cancer is low [in women] in the 20 to 24 year age group, and the numbers are expected to decrease as vaccine use increases, according to the ACS.

Individuals [women] who are 65 and older and have had an adequate negative result in prior screening can stop getting screened.

The ACS recommended that individuals [women] who don’t have documentation of prior screening should continue getting screened until they have met this criteria.

As of this writing, the word “women” is still nowhere to be found in the story.

Individuals with a cervix responded to the story accordingly:

My RedState colleague Brandon Morse is an individual without a cervix, but he nevertheless hit the nail on the head with his reaction to the story in a related must-read rant:

We have a name for individuals with a cervix. We call them “women.” Cringe News Network won’t even say “woman” because the tantrum-throwing radicals on the left would digitally (and maybe even physically now) storm CNN en masse and punish them for daring to not be “inclusive” enough. The social justice warriors, as we call them, think they’re being heroes but in reality, they’re just erasing women by attributing one of the few things they can do that men absolutely can’t to some guy named Todd who wears a dress and demands you call him “Sharon.” Todd can’t have children because he’s a man, but simply saying Todd is a man (a basic fact) sends the modern-day digital Gestapo to your digital door.

‘Nuff said. (I really wasn’t kidding when I said I was at a loss for words on this one, y’all!)
