Earlier today, I wrote about Ana Navarro’s attempted defense of Chris and Andrew Cuomo’s pathetic CNN “interview” from Wednesday night in which Q-tip sizes were compared, laughs were shared, and no actual journalism took place.
Never Trumper Navarro, a frequent contributor to CNN, ran interference for them on Twitter today, claiming they were just having what she called a “friendly bantering b/w 2 brothers w/high-profile, high-stress jobs” after “months” of CNN allegedly carrying “almost 24/7 sobering Covid-news.
It was an utterly ridiculous response, and it set off Fox News senior meteorologist Janice Dean, who has lost two family members to the Wuhan coronavirus in nursing home/assisted living facilities in New York. She wants Gov. Cuomo asked some hard questions about his deadly nursing homes policy, and was understandably frustrated that the issue was not brought up at all during yet another appearance on his brother’s “Prime Time” show last night.
Here’s what Dean said to Navarro about her tone-deaf defense of the Cuomo brothers:
One guy faked his own quarantine. The other guy let recovering Covid patients back into nursing homes which ultimately I believe killed one or both of my in-laws. If this clown show happened on Fox, you’d be raging. Sit down, please.

This is how Navarro initially replied:
1. I don’t know you, but feel great sympathy for all the families like yours, who have lost loved ones to Covid. Must be so sad.
2. If this had happened on Fox News, I would not have seen it.
3. I don’t need your permission to stand-up, speak-up or act-up.
4. Have a nice day. https://t.co/35bRM09JOx

Dean tweeted her back, pointing out Navarro didn’t actually dispute anything she said:
I didn’t see any disputing of my facts. That’s a win. But keep on deflecting, Karen.

Navarro, putting the a** in classy, responded this way:
Bless her heart.

Yours truly was one of the many who had no intentions of letting her nastiness slide by unanswered:
You pathetic little hag. She's lost family members and your hot take is to laugh and pretend like she was telling you you needed her permission to comment on the Cuomo segment. You're a disgraceful sellout, Ana, in more ways than one. https://t.co/ynyWh3S1XM

You’re mocking someone who lost both her in-laws to the coronavirus. @JaniceDean‘s two boys no longer have their grandparents nearby. WTF is wrong with you, @ananavarro?@MDornic and @CNNPR — this is the perfect representation of your organization.

This is your response to someone who is angry that CNN is basically running PR for the governor whose actions resulted in the deaths of both of her in-laws?
What the fuck is wrong with you?

True conservative ™ Ana Navarro is on the case guys. Shamelessly defending a Democrat Governor for a mandate that killed 5600+ senior citizen. How do those boots taste?
— rebel millennial (@patriotic_giant) May 21, 2020
Wow @ananavarro is a real Witch with a capital B

Last one nailed it.
Dean, however, got the last laugh:
Also I called someone a “Karen” this afternoon on twitter and I actually have real life amazing friends named Karen, so I want to apologize to all the kind, awesome Karens in life. You should not be associated with mean girls like the one I called Karen.
