As I’ve said before, President Trump really should appoint a babysitter to the coronavirus task force because clearly one is needed to mind the children masquerading as diligent mainstream media reporters during press briefings.
The latest instance of a credentialed White House press corps “journalist” showing out came earlier today, when CBS News White House correspondent Paula Reid asked one of the most ridiculously biased questions any of the press corps reporters have since the start of the daily coronavirus task force briefings back in early March.
“Mr. President, why haven’t you announced a plan to get 36 million unemployed Americans back to work? You are overseeing historic economic despair. What’s the delay? Where’s the plan?”
It was an idiotic question, considering journalists like Reid have been dunking on him non-stop for wanting states to reopen sooner which, you know, is actually the only thing that can revive the economy.
Trump let her know it in his response:
“Oh, I think we have announced a plan. We are opening up our country — just a rude person you are. We are opening up our country and we’re opening it up very fast. The plan is that each state is opening and it is opening up very effectively, and when you see the numbers I think even you will be impressed, which is pretty hard to impress you.”
Trump again clashes with CBS's Paula Reid. Reid asked "why haven't you announced a plan to get" unemployed Americans "back to work."

Her question was a real head-scratcher for some folks:
*Trump announces plan to reopen the country from lockdown nearly a month ago*@PaulaReidCBS, the moron: "Why haven't you announced a plan to get 36 million people back to work?"

Here’s how Reid reacted on Twitter later, petulantly yucking it up with left-wing Vox “journalist”/hack Aaron Rupar, who is frequently retweeted by supposedly “objective” journalists like Reid:
That was me with the gall & questions about a plan to address historic unemployment. 🙋🏼♀️

This is so par for the course for how the national media operates. They, along with Democrats, demanded the country be shut down to fight the Wuhan coronavirus. Many states did just that. Some, like NY and CA, are still largely shut down. So with the country shut down, along with it went the jobs and the economy.
Not long after that, the media and Democrats then turned around and blamed Trump for the historic job loss numbers, which happened precisely because so many states put shelter in place/stay at home orders in effect (which, remember, is what Democrats and the media wanted).
But when Trump pushed states to reopen, the media and Democrats said it was “too soon”, even though reopening the country is the only way jobs and the economy will come back. Some Democrats and media types even accused him of being ok with senior citizens dying as long as the economy could get cranked back up.
Weeks later, they turned around and demanded a plan for bringing jobs back, knowing full well and good the only way to do so is by states opening back up (which the media and Dems, of course, are still pushing back on).
It’s a vicious circle, and they know it. But they keep spinning around and around on it because Orange Man Bad. It’s no wonder the Trump campaign is accusing the media and Democrats of deliberately wanting to keep states shut down during an election year.
It’s also no wonder Trump treats certain journalists they way he does, considering the constant political games they play on behalf of Democrats. It’s disgraceful, and it most certainly isn’t journalism.
