Rep. Dan Crenshaw (R-TX) is making a name for himself in Washington, DC with his unique brand of pushback against the political opposition. He’s unafraid to mix it up with even the most vocal of critics both in the mainstream media and on the progressive left while at the same time maintaining a genuine “let’s shake hands after this” respect for their differing points of view.
But when it came to several recent high profile media fails, the Congressman did not hold back on Tuesday:
Media blunders this week:
-hardly any coverage of #MarchforLife
-Buzzfeed lies about Cohen case
-slandering Covington Catholic students over false narrative
-slandering Karen Pence for working at Christian school3 out of 4 are fundamentally anti-Christian. Just last 7 days.

For anyone who doubts him, let’s take a more in-depth look at each blunder he listed:
1) “-hardly any coverage of #MarchforLife”
Yep. This one is something the pro-life movement is used to seeing (or not seeing) no matter how big their marches are – unless the coverage is to smear participants. It stands in stark contrast to the fawning, round-the-clock coverage we see every year of the various feminist marches on DC to celebrate the 1973 Roe vs Wade decision legalizing abortion.
2) “-Buzzfeed lies about Cohen case”
Also true. As Politico reported last week:
Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s office is denying aspects of a blockbuster BuzzFeed news report that President Donald Trump instructed his former personal attorney Michael Cohen to lie to Congress about dealings related to a Trump Tower Moscow project under consideration during the 2016 presidential election.
Mueller’s normally tight-lipped operation issued a statement Friday night indicating that the BuzzFeed report contained inaccuracies, at least with respect to its statements about the information gathered by the special counsel’s team.
“BuzzFeed’s description of specific statements to the Special Counsel’s Office, and characterization of documents and testimony obtained by this office, regarding Michael Cohen’s Congressional testimony are not accurate,” Mueller spokesman Peter Carr said in a statement. He did not elaborate.
Buzzfeed is taking a “fake but accurate” approach to this story, of course.
3) “-slandering Covington Catholic students over false narrative”
This has been documented extensively here at Red State. It’s not even arguable that the media rushed to judgment with the “MAGA hat kids” story, and unfortunately the students are now having to fear for their safety as a result.
4) “-slandering Karen Pence for working at Christian school”
NRO‘s David French said it best:
The intolerance directed at Karen Pence for working for a church ministry that expresses the orthodox Christian view of human sexuality is deeply troubling. A Christian working for a Christian ministry is not a scandal: https://t.co/oQHHjvHcZv

The bigger issue is how ruthlessly mainstream and progressive media types went after her over this.
In fact, these same media types go haywire when conservatives call out the anti-Semitism of Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-MI) and Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) which, you know, actually is a big issue, as if to suggest critics are “attacking their faith.”
So “attacking the faith” of elected Democrats who want to eradicate Jews is off limits but the media and leftists taking nasty, bigoted swipes at a Republican Second Lady for working at a Christian school that stands by faith-based teachings on behavior considered sinful is acceptable to the press?
Which brings us to Crenshaw’s last point:
5) “3 out of 4 are fundamentally anti-Christian. Just last 7 days.”
Any questions?
