After Years of Democrats Supporting Violence and Domestic Terrorism, Suddenly it is Trump's Fault

The year was 2009.  A 22-year old black man was shot and killed while being detained by police at a BART station in Oakland, CA.  In the days following rioting ensued, and hundreds of thousands of dollars of damage occurred.

That event was considered to be the first of a new fight for civil rights.  Where peaceful protests occurred, they were justifiable and necessary.  The fight against police brutality is not a fight against the police.  Unfortunately, the peaceful movement has been co-opted by organizations that use violence as a means of attempting to steer public policy. (see Occupy Movement, Antifa)

In 2010 and the birth of the Occupy Wall Street movement, cities across the country faced violent outbursts from leftist groups for years.  Almost every major US city faced threats of violence from communist forces unless they cowered to the agenda.  They were (and are) literally the definition of domestic terrorists.  (see FBI definition of terrorism)

Michael Brown, Vonderrit Meyers, Eric Garner, Antonio Martin, Freddie Gray, Mansur Ball-Bey, Alton Sterling, Philando Castile, Sylville Smith, and Keith Lamont Scott.  Each of these shootings of young minorities led to violent riots across the country, all of which took place before Trump ever set foot in the Oval Office.  Each was met with marches that almost always turned violent with the destruction of property and the assault of citizens and police officers alike. Even up until recently, Democrats were siding with encouraging rioting and violence as a result of the treatment of minority men by police.

Yet, as Democrats march toward November, they now want to place the blame for the violence that has plagued our country for over a decade on a man who has been President for less than a third of that time.

Even if you follow beyond Trump’s inauguration (which dem protestors also turned violent), violent actions almost exclusively originate with leftist organizations and were endorsed and supported by dem leaders.  If Trump truly is to blame, and Democrats believe violence and destruction are justified, either they believe that violence is an answer to a political spat or they agree Trump is bringing the necessary change to the US they claim they want.

Yet as polling and public opinion now finally begin to catch up with Dems, they now are trying to blame the violence on “Trump’s America.”  Their argument now becomes that Trump’s speaking to his base (which rarely, if ever, advances to violence) triggers a justified violent response from the left, which leads to Trump supporters getting assaulted (and in Portland’s case, murdered).  To them, Trump is the cause of his supporters getting hurt and killed. There isn’t a single case of accepted responsibility for the violence from the left.  Never have they accepted that they must do better.  Democrats want you to believe that despite the law-abiding life that you lead, you’re to blame for Trump and therefore, for violence against you and other fellow conservatives.

There isn’t some magic consensus amongst Conservatives that we agree with everything that leaves Trump’s mouth.  In fact, there’s likely more criticism of Trump on the right than there is of Biden on the left.  When Trump is deserving of criticism, I know many of my fellow conservatives are first in line to say that his statement was dumb/inflammatory/unnecessary/ugly, etc.  Accepting Trump despite his faults is literally how he became President.

Trump is also made to be held responsible for every horrible thing that anyone does in the country.  If a crazy person goes off a hurts someone, the media is quick to want Trump to be responsible for whatever horrible thing happened.  On the same hand, the left wants to distance themselves from horrible things that happen from the left, like when a 5-year-old is shot in the head by a black man for simply being white.  The media wasn’t launching “gotcha questions” at Biden demanding he is made responsible for those actions?

Nor should he.  And neither should Trump.

So who is to blame for the violence?  No one but those who commit (or threaten/attempt to commit) those acts.  The violence we are experiencing across the country is stoked by the racial divide that has plagued our country since the institution of slavery.  Of late those flames have been stoked by democrats and democrat leaders and most importantly, the media.  Did a busload of Trump supporters show up in Kenosha with the tools of chaos and anarchy?  No. That was Seattle Antifa.  What about the crowds that march through DC demanding restaurant-goers support their cause by violently screaming in their faces and assaulting them?  No, That’s Antifa/BLM.

The old adage that “violence begets violence” is as true today that is has ever been.  The left continues to bang the drum that Kyle Rittenhouse belonged nowhere near Kenosha.  They never stop to ask themselves if Kyle Rittenhouse would have ever been there in the first place if they weren’t burning the place to the ground.  In Portland, would the Trump supporters have picked Portland for a rally, if it wasn’t for the continued theme of lawlessness?  In Seattle, which Trump supporter committed the murders inside CHOP?  Hint: It wasn’t a Trump supporter.

If the violence is truly the actions of a few, then why isn’t BLM denouncing Antifa?  I have been happy to see the handful of times that BLM or other peaceful protesters have stepped in to stop the violent actions of the few.  Protesters stepped in front of an extremely aggressive and threatening Joseph Rosenbaum in Kenosha earlier in the night before he was shot while attacking Kyle Rittenhouse.  Instead of blocking intersections and highways, they should be blocking Antifa and other violent idiots from coopting their important non-violent message.  Unless of course, and contrary to your narrative, the violence is a part of the movement and message.

Perhaps the most frustrating part of this all is the standard-bearer for the democrats in 2020 has been a part of Washington that has done nothing to stop the spread of violence for the years before Trump came into office.  Unless I am mistaken, Joe Biden never once denounced the violence occurring in the US as a result of rioting a single time during the 8 years he was VP. In fact, he has donated to bail funds for rioters in the past.  This latest attempt to smear Trump with the actions of leftists is downright laughable.

Win, Lose, or Draw in November, Dems will never push to stop the violence.  They know what they need to do.  They have been denying Trump’s offers for additional support.  When people were being arrested in Portland for plotting violent actions, Trump was called a fascist.  At this point, I don’t think the American people are dumb enough to fall for this finger-pointing.  They have watched for a decade as the violence escalated under the Obama administration and they don’t believe for a second this is Trump’s fault. Not only are Dems going to take the fall for the violence but they will also take the fall for attempting to blame it on Trump.
