The Lincoln Project will be absolutely thrilled to see this. For the first time in their careers, they're going to come off looking like the alpha movement by comparison.
In a candlelit cabin deep in the Maine woods, former Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene sat down for dinner with a small circle of fellow MAGA dissenters. Among them were former Fox News host Tucker Carlson, soon-to-be former Republican Rep. Thomas Massie (KY-4), and former Director of the National Counterterrorism Center Joe Kent.
Notice the theme here? Former this, former that.
Oh, also attending the big meeting were Massie and Kent's wives, as well as Greene's new husband Brian Glenn.
Greene took to X to declare that President Trump had “betrayed us all” by breaking his promise of no more foreign wars. This Island of Misfit Toys is super-mad about it. They mean it.
"We said no more foreign wars, and we meant it and supported Donald Trump because he made that promise. But he’s betrayed us all," she wrote. "Our commitment is America First for all Americans, right, left, and center."
Greene added, "The movement has begun."
Hear that? That's the sound of the Earth shattering at the very idea of this "movement" beginning. Take a gander.

The Important Question About Groypers No One Is Asking
Ah, nothing quite says 'we are a movement to be reckoned with' quite like a table with lit candles in an already very well-lit room. Not to mention the matching mugs.
And I haven't even gotten to the milk and chocolate chip cookies. Was there no soy available? If Charlie Brown or Fred Rogers announced a political movement to be feared, not to be trifled with because they "meant" it, this is it.
It's unclear if this is the official announcement of a third party we've all been chomping at the bit to see — talk about a soft launch — or if this is just meant to be a photo of a bunch of judgmental rubes pretending to stage an intervention on the President.
That said, it does come just weeks after Carlson said he intended to “help build” a new third party.
"If you vote for Trump and you still wind up in a regime-change war ... then we need options, or else let’s just give up and be ruled by the most unscrupulous people," he told the Columbia Journalism Review. "And I’m just too young to accept that. We need a third party."

To be clear, there are some legitimate criticisms to discuss and analyze, perhaps. But peeling off to join another party that is practically identical to the Lincoln Project, which itself is indiscernible from the far-left, is definitely not the answer.
Especially with this group. Is it not possible to be in agreement on 90 percent of the President's conservative agenda and offer support instead of abandoning that same percentage of your morals to grandstand like this?
While a majority of Americans (around 62 percent) consistently say a third major party is needed due to dissatisfaction with Democrats and Republicans, actual willingness to vote for one in national or statewide elections remains soft. Only about 15 percent say they are “very likely” to do so.
Would Carlson, Greene, or Massie be enough to light a fire under voters to change those numbers?
