It's not overstating it to say President Trump's America 250 celebration on Saturday was the single most incredible, patriotic display this nation has ever seen.
From the massive crowds lining the National Mall and the spectacular military flyovers, to the historic flags put on grand display and the veterans saluting and posing proudly in front of them, and onto the stirring speeches and fireworks capping the night, Trump's America 250 celebration in DC was a breathtaking reminder of our nation's unmatched greatness.
One would think that celebrities, armed with the benefit of Hollywood imagination and special effects, would have been able to cobble together some riveting counterprogramming for their low-IQ fans who would rather wallow in misery than admit America is the pinnacle of God-given creation.
Instead, the out-of-touch Tinsel Town elites decided it was the perfect time to throw a pity party. Led by the marginally (at best) talented Sarah Jessica Parker, the usual gang of haters of the country that made them multi-millionaires—including Mark Ruffalo and Ted Danson—dropped a preachy video in which they dramatically read from Timothy Snyder’s “On Tyranny.”
They truly thought in their heart of hearts that this was some profound act of resistance.

For a group of people who live in fantasy land, you'd think they could find ways to present themselves as mildly less loathsome. And yet, this is what they came up with.
You'll be shocked to learn that "On Tyranny" is little more than a silly piece of alarmist pseudo-intellectual pap, warning of wholly fabricated threats of authoritarianism and comparing modern American conservatism to mid-century European fAscIsM.
And how will they combat the rise of tyranny that exists only in their little, vapid minds? Among the 20 points that the actors and actresses read aloud are:
- Take responsibility for the face of the world — God, they think so highly of themselves and their importance to the "world."
- Be reflective if you must be armed — Wait, these people are rabidly anti-Second Amendment, and they're openly discussing an armed conflict to fight fascism that does not exist? Charlie Kirk's assassin had a similar mindset, no?
- Believe in truth — Even as they struggle with the concept.
- Listen for the dangerous words — Tyranny through mean tweets!!!
"250 years ago, the founders of the American Republic looked to the past. They looked to what they knew about tyranny," the book's author concludes in the video. "Today, when our republic marks its 250th anniversary, we can look back at the founders, at our own history, and draw our own conclusion."
Unfortunately, the only conclusion one can draw after watching that video is that Snyder is a weapons-grade moron and there is an epidemic of dying brain cells in Hollywood.
How is this thing real?

While absolutely nobody was watching this latest dramatic production, President Trump was delivering such tyrannical commentary as:
- “This country is the home of freedom."
- “No people have done more good, showed more courage, made more progress, righted more injustice or achieved more greatness than you, the American people.”
- “For 250 years, the United States of America has been the hope, the promise, the light and the glory among all of the nations of the world."

Trump's speech and the massive fireworks display gave people chills for all the right reasons. It was optimistic, respectful of the nation's founding principles, and patriotic to the Nth degree. For these celebrities, it gave them chills because they saw that incredible pro-America celebration and display, and thought, 'He's just like Hitler.'
These people work in the land of make-believe, but they're truly struggling to settle back into reality when they leave the set.
