President Trump took interviewer Terry Moran to task after the ABC News correspondent claimed a photo of MS-13 gang member Kilmar Abrego Garcia's knuckles had been "photoshopped."

The interview, meant to spotlight Trump's 100 days in office, was often contentious.

Moran ran with the leftist media premise that an image showing gang signs across Abrego Garcia's knuckles had been "doctored" because officials added in labels of each letter and number to show what they meant. It's akin to saying a legend on a map means it had been doctored.

During Tuesday evening's interview, the President was reiterating basic facts about Abrego Garcia's gang affiliations and mentioned the tattoos on his knuckles. Moran casually tossed out the claim that the photo "was Photoshop."

Seemingly in disbelief that the man across from him had gone there, Trump immediately responded with the appropriate level of condescension required for the moment.

"That was Photoshop?" he fired back. "Terry, you can't do that - they're givin' you the big break of a lifetime. You know, you're doin' the interview. I picked you because - frankly, I never heard of you, but that's okay."

Moran tries to pivot to Ukraine, but Trump isn't having it.

"This is why people no longer believe the news, because it's fake news."

After an exchange like that, it's clear that Moran is the JV team on the ABC interviewer set. In fact, the New York Post reported that the network's top guys - David Muir and George Stephanopoulos - were sidelined for this interview, leaving them to throw in their third-stringer.

RedState's Becca Lower delivered the receipts on the photo of Abrego Garcia, pointing out that "no one is saying that the exact letters are tattooed," but the media is "twisting the truth."

Then again, that's what they do. Why, though, is anybody's guess. The image isn't necessary to prove the so-called 'Maryland Man's' gang affiliations when two separate judges had already done so. They simply latch on to the smallest things in the hopes that it'll blow up the entire story.

Later on in the interview, the President pilloried the media over their coverage, or lack thereof, of Joe Biden's multi-year cognitive decline.

"We had a president that was grossly incompetent. You knew it, I knew it, and everybody knew it," Trump explained. "But you guys didn't want to write it because you're fake news."

"And, by the way, ABC is one of the worst. I have to be honest with you."

Moran could do little more than say "thank you for the opinion."

Axios reporter Alex Thompson recently scolded his media colleagues for completely whiffing on coverage of former President Biden's incredibly evident mental decline.

In another remarkable exchange, Moran asks the current President if he trusts Vladimir Putin to act in good faith during the peace process. Trump promptly levels the ABC News correspondent.

"I don't trust you. I don't trust - I don't trust a lot of people. I don't trust you," Trump said. "Look at you. You come in all shootin' for bear. You're so happy to do the interview."

"And then you start hitting me with fake questions. You start tellin' me that a guy whose hand is covered with a tattoo doesn't have the tattoo."

Trump added that Moran is "being dishonest," a contention that ABC's interviewer disagrees with.
