Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-TX) dropped a cringeworthy protest video in which she preps for President Donald Trump's address to a joint session of Congress by singing and dancing to Kendrick Lamar's performance of "Not Like Us" at the Super Bowl.
While other Democrats have been debating how to handle a protest of the address — whether to use noisemakers or hand-clappers — Crockett has taken the adult route by protesting with decorum and tact.
Just kidding. The video is remarkably cringeworthy for someone who touts themselves as a young, edgy alternative to the typical curmudgeons permeating the Democrat Party.
"Well…the State of the DisUnion will begin shortly. I’m gonna be in attendance," Crockett captioned the post. "DO NOT WATCH!"

How is it possible that somebody like this represents Texans in Congress? You really need to do better, voters in the 30th Congressional District in the Lone Star State.
First off, Crockett seems unaware that this is not an actual State of the Union address. The speech serves a similar purpose — Trump will outline his agenda and priorities for the term ahead — but it is not a SOTU.
Second, the music clip has all the feeling of a Steve Buscemi "How do you do, fellow kids?" skit.
"The country is divided," her video states in overlay text. "Somebody's gotta fight for it."
"Yeah, they tried to rig the game, but you can't fake influence," Crockett fake sings while her backup "singers" chant, "Then get on it like that."

Is this real life? Fighting for your country is engaging in borderline interpretive dance.
Criticism of Crockett's desperate plea for attention was swift and brutal, most of it unprintable, but many of the comments featured the word "embarrassing."
Holy hell, I am so embarrassed she represents part of north Texas. https://t.co/Bggda6JjVI

When she's not auditioning for a post-congressional career as a TikTok influencer, Jasmine says many unintelligent things meant to get even further attention.
As RedState's Bonchie notes, just over 24 hours ago, Crockett declared President Trump to be an "enemy of the state" and claimed he was "occupying the White House."

Crockett recently suggested the president's peace negotiations with Ukraine and Russia would lead to World War III. Earlier today, she implied Kamala Harris could have led the country to the "promised land."
You know, like Moses ... or something.

Crockett is clearly becoming the face of the Democrat Party. If she keeps bringing attention in this manner, embarrassing herself and her party, it is the best possible scenario ... for the Republicans.
