Mattis Delivers a Must-Watch Inspirational Impromptu Speech to the Troops

Secretary of Defense James Mattis gave an impromptu pep talk to a group of servicemen and women that is truly worth watching.

According to Axios, the comments may have been made during Mattis’s trip to Jordan.

He told the group,

You’re a great example for our country right now. It’s got some problems. You know it and I know it. It’s got problems that we don’t have in the military.

Hold the line my fine young soldiers, sailors, airmen, marines. Hold the line until our country gets back to understanding and respecting each other and showing it. Be friendly to one another. Americans owe it to one another. We’re so doggone lucky to be Americans.

We’ve got two powers: the power of inspiration [and you’ll get the power of inspiration back]. You’ve got the power of intimidation. And that’s you. When someone wants to screw with our families, our country, or our allies.

So, thanks so much for being out here.

He went on to say the only reason he came back from retirement to serve in Trump’s cabinet is to serve alongside and in support of those in the military.

A truly inspiring speech for every American to watch in a time where leadership has been lacking in such.

Watch:

One can only hope the president doesn’t find reason to take offense as many would point to him as being the Problem-in-Chief.

Great speech from Mattis and one we all need to hear.
