House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi has come up with an analogy for dealing with Trump supporters she thinks is so clever, until you actually think about it.

Here’s what she said:

“The way I told my members: It’s like telling your friend the guy she’s dating is a jerk. You can’t tell her that. She has to find out for herself. You can give her clues and then eventually one thing will lead to another, she’ll come to her conclusion. But if you tell her right up front, you’ll lose a friend. So we’re not interested in losing any friends. Let them find out,” Pelosi recounted during a small briefing for reporters in her Capitol suite Tuesday.

“They made a judgment and they’re not willing to walk away from their own judgment,” she said.

Or maybe you’re just the bad friend who hates every “boyfriend” they date, Nancy.

They’re last boyfriend? You said he was basically Hitler, killed a classmate and abused a dog. The eighteen prospective beaus trying to woo them last year? All horrible in their own special way, according to you and the Democrats, Nancy.

And the guy they let you set them up with nine years ago? You kept telling them to keep giving him a chance. That even though he was taking their money and making things in their life worse in a plethora of ways, that he had their best interests at heart and to hold him dear and none of it was his fault.

You have a poor record for being a good friend whom cares about the lives and well-being of anyone beyond yourself and your party, Nancy.

And it’s not anyone but yourself you have to blame for being so transparent in your antipathy of anyone who does’t think like you do.

Pelosi did, however, make a sweeping judgment about educated women who voted for Trump rather than Hillary Clinton.

“White educated women who voted against Hillary? They voted with their husbands on taxes and they always have,” declared Pelosi.

According to your analogy — and in reality –, Nancy, you just indicted 44% of white, educated American women as stupid enough to marry the jerk boyfriend. And yet they seem happy enough with the guy you say is a jerk to “always have” stuck with him.

You and your party are truly awful and consistently terrible friends, Nancy.
