President Obama and his administration clearly are wasting no time in clearing up the things they must do before leaving the White House; that is the task of passing out medals amongst themselves.
The president himself was awarded the Distinguished Service Medal by his own Secretary of Defense, Ash Carter, last week. And today President Obama surprised his “bromance” partner (his words, not mine) Joe Biden with the Medal of Freedom.
Obama stated that he was awarding Vice President Biden with the medal for “‘faith in your fellow Americans, for your love of country and a lifetime of service that will endure through the generations.’’
I’d say I have to agree by the mere fact that Joe Biden was elected to the U.S. Senate in 1972, a decade before I was born. But I think we should all acknowledge that the best thing Joe Biden gave to America — nay, the world — is the Biden window meme.
If there’s anything we might miss for a millisecond after the Obama administration leaves the White House, it’s you, Uncle Joe.
