Chaos in Libya

Many of Hillary’s supporters point to her tenure as Secretary of State to make the case that this qualifies her as President. Nothing could be further from the truth. More than anything else, what has happened in Libya shows she should never again be involved in foreign policy.

Five short years ago, Libya was one of the wealthiest and most stable nations in Africa.

Who knows how long it will be before this country is stable again.

Tensions in South China Sea

China’s expansion into the South China sea continues to increase tensions, and now the U.S. sent B-1 Bombers to Guam in a show of force in response. North Korea has also been rattling their sabres more lately.

The B-1s will be based on Guam indefinitely, Andersen AFB officials said. They will operate as part of the U.S. Pacific Command’s Continuous Bomber Presence, the first time B-1s have been part of that operation in a decade. They replace the older B-52s of the 69th Expeditionary Bomb Squadron in that role.

Unfortunately, most of the other actions of our government show we aren’t to be feared as we once were.

Donald Trump and Europe

The Donald does not seem to have garnered the same popularity that Obama did during his run for the Presidency in 2008. President Hollande of France is especially not a fan.

“His excesses end up giving a retching feeling, even in the US, especially when — as was Donald Trump’s case — he speaks ill of a soldier, of the memory of a soldier,” Hollande told reporters in Paris.

For once I agree with the President of France.

Cuban refugees in Colombia

Cuban refugees trying to enter the U.S. that have been stranded in Columbia are going to be returned to Cuba.

According to the Colombian Migration Office, 5,800 migrants have been deported from Colombia in the last two months alone. Most were Cubans, but there were some Haitians and others from as far away as Africa.

Immigration continues to be a major world issue was people attempt to flee from terrorists, despots, criminals.

Swedish Bible Drones

An evangelical free church in Sweden is planning to drop bibles from drones in ISIS-controlled areas in Iraq.

Our ambition is to pass on the hope and love of the Christian gospel to a population living in closed areas where they are being denied human rights.

Here’s to getting God’s Word out to those who desperately need it.

That’s it for today’s Water Cooler. OPEN THREAD
