Watch: Schumer Truly 'Gaslights' on the Senate Floor, As His Speech Ends With a Rather Audible Surprise

As we reported, there was a shooting on Monday involving Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) in Biddeford, Maine.

That, of course, had Democrats losing their minds again. They didn't have an issue with ICE under Barack Obama or Joe Biden. But they want you to imagine that ICE has now somehow morphed into a "rogue agency" because President Donald Trump is in charge.

Listen to this insanity from Democratic Rep. Ted Lieu (CA-35).

He claimed they are not trained the way police officers are, that they "are not real police officers," they do not wear body cameras, they wear masks, and they are an "out-of-control rogue agency."

Some leftists actually believe that ICE is not law enforcement because of rhetoric like Lieu's. That misconception can make encounters with ICE more dangerous when those individuals resist or confront agents.

What he's saying is utter nonsense, and most of the incidents that don't end well appear to involve people resisting and/or attacking ICE. If you do that with any member of law enforcement, it's not going to end well.

As we've reported, some ICE agents in Houston weren't equipped with body cameras because government shutdowns delayed the rollout. So Democrats in Congress really need to do a little self-reflection.

Let us also remind the Democrats who created ICE — it wasn't Trump — it was Congress. So it's hardly a "rogue agency" if they're the ones who created it.

Lieu's comments weren't the only gaslighting happening.

Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer also pushed the propaganda of the day against ICE, but that wasn't all. Schumer had just finished saying they needed a "complete investigation that was independent," and shifting to attack the Trump administration on Iran, when you can hear him pass gas loudly on the microphone.

You can even see he appears to smirk and giggle a bit right afterward, seemingly confirming it.

Of course, everything Schumer says is pretty much just "gas," so this would fit.

I guess someone had to take up the "gaslighting" (literally and figuratively) mantle now that former California Democrat representative Eric Swalwell is gone. As you may recall, he had his own infamous contribution to inconvenient gas passing history.

People had a lot of fun skewering Schumer over that.

Update: For the doubters claiming not to hear the Schumer toot, this X user helpfully bumped the audio...
