California elections are conducted ridiculously, taking days and weeks to come to a conclusion, and raising questions about the process. This isn't a new question; this has been going on for years.
As my colleague Susie Moore opined in her morning minute, the process lends to suspicion. If it looks like a duck, it's going to make people think it's a duck.
What's more infuriating is the reaction from the left and the media, like, "Oh, this is normal." It may be normal for California, but it's not normal for most of the rest of the world. As my colleague Bob Hoge put it, "The system that Democrats created leaves millions feeling sucker-punched, defrauded, lied to, and disenfranchised." It allows the opening for mischief.

We reported on how President Donald Trump did an interview over the weekend with "Meet the Press" host Kristen Welker, expressing his concern about the process in California and his belief that the media was failing to cover the problem. But Welker's response was, "That's how they count the votes in California." Yes, that's the problem — and the fact that you guys don't ask why this is the way it is. You're supposed to be reporters.
The president then decided he'd had enough, and said he was ending the interview. Welker whined, saying that she'd come all the way to Wisconsin to do the interview. Well, so did he, although he had other reasons to be there, and he's the president of the United States. His time is more important. Trump explained he'd already given her an hour in the rain in what looked like a barn, not exactly the most amenable setting, either.
.@POTUS bodies @kwelkernbc on California's pathetic excuse for an election system:

"Do you think it's appropriate that they have an election and five days later they're nowhere close to picking a winner!? They're crooked — just like you're crooked." pic.twitter.com/a4gwNUm7gC

I've Lived in California for 3 Decades — and I've Never Seen Anything Like This
But our friends at our sister site Twitchy picked up on a moment we missed previously, and our own Buzz Patterson posted about it. Buzz is right. Now this is one heck of a mic drop to the media. Literally. After Trump called an end to the interview, he took off the mic and dropped it on the ground. Then, as he walked out, as Welker protested, he stepped on the mic. You can hear the squish sound.
This is the greatest end of an interview I’ve ever seen. Bar none! 🤣

Trump just didn’t drop the mich, he buried it. Like nuclear dust in Iran. Deep!
This man is Legend. Soak it up. pic.twitter.com/FWaLRbVpKb
So not just a mic drop, but a mic stomp. Oh, and the look on Welker's face after the president walked out, and then this earlier.
If this is her being impartial, imagine her face when you leave the seat up pic.twitter.com/NhXSkB5vZ7
