Oh, My: John Fetterman's Challenge to Graham Platner

Sen. John Fetterman (D-PA) has not made some of his fellow Democrats happy when he's been willing to call out their extreme positions. He's one of the few Democrats willing to sometimes honestly say what he thinks, regardless of whether it helps or hurts his party.

He didn't hold back when asked about the hot-button Democratic issue of the day: the scandal-plagued presumptive Democratic candidate for the Senate from Maine, Graham Platner.

Fetterman blasted Platner over the revelations about his Kik account and reported sexting with other women.

"This is a guy that had a problem with me, how I dress, but he seemed to have no problem posing in a towel at a disgusting website that consistently had serious problems about that kinds of depravity," Fetterman told Fox News host Sean Hannity.

Fetterman wasn't quite done. Then he laid down a challenge for Platner: to reveal those messages he had with the women.

"Let me make a deal. I'll tell P-Hustle, I'll wear a suit every day, if he releases all those texts and messages that he's had," Fetterman said. P-Hustle is a reference to the account name Platner reportedly had on his Kik account.

"You can prove [to] America... what's [in] these conversations. Can P-Hustle prove how old these people are?"

Fetterman, not holding anything back.

Fetterman also hit Platner on the vile comments he made about members of the military, which included saying that a wounded American soldier didn't deserve to live.

"As a Democrat, I'm never going to carry water for a guy that calls an American hero a dumb MFer, or someone that smears Chris Kyle,"  Fetterman said. He thought that Platner had said so many offensive things that it was hard to keep up.

He was also asked if he thought there were more scandals coming.

Fetterman replied, “Well, he lied to everybody. He said that there wasn’t any after his Nazi tattoo situation. And now there’s more and more of the things. So he’s already lied about that.”

Fetterman added, “So I assume, you know, it’s like they say, for every ranch you see in Texas, there’s 50 that you haven’t seen. So I’m sure there’s plenty, a lot of more ranches in P-Hustle’s life.”

We'll have to see what comes out.

But Democrats have sold their souls and hitched their wagon to him in their quest for the Senate. They were more concerned about control than principle. They're already past the point of no return on Platner, and they have no credibility to even recover there.

If more drops, the Democrats are likely to be dragged down by the weight of it, with the numbers already starting to slip away from them. You have to think Democrats are losing their minds over what might break here. Platner had a meeting with Democratic leaders a couple of days ago.

If it comes back to bite them, it will be completely deserved.
