New: Another Big Reveal About the 'Supreme Leader' - This Isn't Going to Go Over Well in Iran

Iran's new "Supreme Leader," Mojtaba Khamenei, already had a big problem.

He hasn't been seen since the start of Operation Epic Fury. Even at ceremonies with people swearing allegiance to him, they were only able to bring out pictures of him. So people mocked him with memes about being a cardboard leader.

Don't Make Any Long-Term Plans, 'Supreme Leader' of Iran

Iranian officials admitted he had been wounded, but insisted he was in condition to lead. Cardboard Mojtaba issued his first speech. The only problem was that he didn't appear; a female TV anchor read it. So there was still nothing to show he was even alive, much less in charge of anything. There was also a report in his father's will stating that he didn't want Mojtaba to succeed him, that he didn't have confidence in him, that he previously had an impotence problem, that he was considered not smart enough, and had personal issues.

But it turns out that there's maybe a bigger issue in repressive Iran: a report that he may be gay. Those were the "issues" with his "personal life" that his father had.

Trump couldn’t contain his surprise and laughed aloud when he was briefed on the intel, according to sources.

Others in the room also found it “hilarious” and joined the president’s reaction, while one senior intelligence official “has not stopped laughing about it for days,” said one person familiar with the briefing.

Because they know that, given the attitudes in a country that has thrown gay people off buildings, that's likely to throw Iran into even greater chaos over their "Supreme Leader."

The shocking claim was described to The Post by two intelligence community officials and a third person close to the White House.

All three sources say the implausible-sounding allegation is viewed as credible by US spy agencies, rather than false information intended to undermine Khamenei, 56, who was selected to replace his dead father as supreme leader on March 8.

Two of the sources said the intelligence indicated that Mojtaba, who earned the nickname “the power behind the robes” while serving as his aging dad’s gatekeeper, has had a long-term sexual relationship with his childhood tutor.

The third source said the intelligence indicated the affair was with a person who formerly worked for the Khamenei family.

It sounds like they may have pretty good information.

“The fact that this was elevated to the highest of high levels shows you there’s some confidence in this,” added a second source.

This report also further expanded on the impotence question, backing it up with a classified cable from 2008 that had been released by WikiLeaks saying he was receiving treatment for it in the U.K.

This is likely to throw even more questions onto the regime to deal with, when they're already facing getting pulverized, and they don't even have a leader who can show himself in public. It's also likely to add to the reports of power struggles amongst the leadership for control. If it's true, it's also likely to make them crazier about U.S./Israeli intelligence, what they know, and how they know it.
