How bad is the liberal media?
I wrote earlier on Friday about a CNN host's poor reaction to a former Iranian political prisoner who drew a direct line between Barack Obama's nuclear deal with Iran and the Oct. 7 attack on Israel.
But we may have competition for worst media take of the day with what Katie Couric said about California Gov. Gavin Newsom during her interview with him.

Couric asked Newsom if he had a "Zoolander problem."
Warning: video contains profanity.
Couric: Do you have a Zoolander problem? Are you just ridiculously good looking as Vogue said? What do you do about that?

Newsom: You don’t do anything about it…It’s just who I am.
Good. Lord. pic.twitter.com/aFmvpDLlaa
“Are you just ridiculously good-looking, as Vogue said? No, seriously, what do you do about that?” Couric asked.
Newsom took the question in earnest, answering that he didn’t want to get a stylist like other politicians to “become someone they’re not.”
“You don’t do anything about it because if you’re gonna do something about it, then you’re bulls–ting people. You know what, I am who I am, and it’s fine,” Newsom said.
“You don’t have to like me, or maybe you like a slick person, I don’t know. Whatever, it’s okay.”
Now that's just embarrassing from someone claiming to be a journalist. Can you suck up any more? She should be ashamed, but clearly isn't.
We know, of course, that Couric would never ask that question of Vice President JD Vance. The media doesn't take a side, no siree. She thinks Newsom's "authenticity" works against him? Tell me when he's being authentic, so I know when it starts, because I surely don't see it.
But given that Newsom's policies in California have led to such a mess, it looks like they're trying to pump him up on looks, since they don't have results they can point to.

That's pretty cringeworthy, and funny because if there's anyone who looks "slick," it's Newsom. There's a reason we call him Gov. "Hair Gel." He actually says, "I am who I am," which seems like a twisted, narcissistic answer to the question, "Are you good-looking?"

He's the personification of being inauthentic, and that's what shines through to make him unappealing on so many levels. It just shows how empty and desperate the Democrats are if they think this is a credible candidate for 2028.
Couric was roundly mocked on social media for this egregious display. This lady was supposedly "objective media" for years. But once again, the liberal media bias is exposed.
He can't run for President on his record, so they are attempting to fabricate charisma. https://t.co/AGSWjGT4GB

I truly don’t understand how anyone can like this man. Please explain it to me. https://t.co/zEgiGIxcsE
