I reported Wednesday night on the shooting of a Venezuelan national in Minneapolis by an ICE agent. That person, plus other people who came out of a house, allegedly attacked the officer, causing him to shoot the Venezuelan man in the leg in self-defense.
This came as MN Gov. Tim Walz was spreading insane lies in a televised address about ICE and whipping up agitators to follow and record them, saying they were going door to door looking for "people of color."

Anti-ICE rioters then attacked agents and police.
A group of violent anti-ICE protesters hurled fireworks and rocks at officers on a Minneapolis block where a federal immigration agent shot a Venezuelan migrant in the leg hours earlier on Wednesday night. [....]
“The crowd is engaging in unlawful acts. They have thrown fireworks at police officers, and at multiple times, gas has been deployed. Police are attempting to disperse this unlawful assembly at this time,” Minneapolis Police Chief Brian O’Hara said at a press conference late Wednesday.
They also attacked and stripped what was reportedly an ICE vehicle, removing information and other items, which is very concerning.

They were also breaking into the weapons cases.

Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche put the blame squarely on the political leaders, and notice he used important words here as he said Walz and Mayor Jacob Frey would be held to account for the "insurrection."

Then, finally, you had Frey making a small attempt to tell people to stop.
Frey, while still attacking ICE, told the rioters to "Go home...We cannot counter Donald Trump’s chaos with our own brand of chaos.” He also said, “We cannot be at a place right now in America where we have two governmental entities that are literally fighting one another."
Um, Mayor? You're the one who put us there by helping to whip up the frenzy. The only chaos is coming from leftists. You're just beginning to realize you may face consequences.
President Donald Trump is now warning of the Insurrection Act, which underscores Blanche's statements.

This isn't a peaceful protest; it's an out-and-out attack on the federal government, and the Democrats have moved this to a place where they aren't going to like the government's response.
