On Tuesday, President Donald Trump did the traditional pardoning of the Thanksgiving turkeys at the White House.
However, before that, CBS's Ed O'Keefe grilled them, asking why they deserved a pardon, and they weren't for talking.

White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt had some pre-event fun in the briefing room with her little son Nicholas, and one of the turkeys to be pardoned, Waddle.

Her son looked like he was enjoying the very fine-looking turkey.
ADORABLE.

"Want to give us a gobble?"

Then the turkeys were on to the event with the president, and Trump had a little humor for the occasion.
LOL: POTUS joked he wanted to call the turkeys "Chuck" & "Nancy"

"The turkeys go by the names of Gobble & Waddle. When I first saw the pictures I thought we should call them ... Chuck & Nancy.
But then I realized I would be pardoning them! I would never pardon those 2 ppl." 🤣 pic.twitter.com/ikEbwbaIl5
He joked about how when he first saw them, he thought about calling them "Chuck" and "Nancy," but then said how he could never pardon those two. He also explained that even though they were large, they were still "MAHA."
Trump also humorously called out Joe Biden's pardons of the turkeys from last year, saying that he'd used an autopen, so they were invalid. He joked that they had searched and found the turkeys from last year, Peach and Blossom, and saved them in the nick of time. He pardoned them retroactively.
LMFAO! President Trump declares that last year's turkey pardons under Joe Biden are null and void because they were signed by the autopen.

He then repardons last year's turkeys so that they won't be served for Thanksgiving dinner. 🤣 pic.twitter.com/IpAjqzjXCo
Then he officially pardoned this year's turkeys, Gobble and Waddle. He had a great time with Gobble, even mimicking his gobble with perfect comedic timing, and deeming him a beautiful bird.
“Gobble, I just want to tell you, it’s very important — you are hereby, unconditionally pardoned.”
