Democrats are truly losing their minds when it comes to illegal aliens and their Trump Derangement Syndrome.
I reported on Wednesday that the ranking member of the House Oversight Committee, Rep. Robert Garcia (D-CA), announced Committee Democrats would have a "master ICE tracker" on their website to track the work of ICE agents across the country.
That's potentially obstructing federal law enforcement and endangering the lives of federal agents. This is how extreme the Democrats have become.

Now, Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) is trying to make things even worse.

She and Rep. Kevin Mullin (D-CA) issued this statement, terming a mass immigration raid an "appalling abuse of power" and threatening that the local authorities may "arrest federal agents, if they break federal law."
“Reports of a planned mass immigration raid in the Bay Area are an appalling abuse of law enforcement power. Broad sweeps that target families and terrorize law-abiding residents betray our nation’s values and waste resources that should focus on real threats to public safety.
“It is important to note that California law protects communities and prevents federal agents from taking certain actions here that we have witnessed in other states. While the President may enjoy absolute immunity courtesy of his rogue Supreme Court, those who operate under his orders do not. Our state and local authorities may arrest federal agents if they break California law — and if they are convicted, the President cannot pardon them.
“The people of San Francisco will continue to stand with the patriotic immigrants who are the constant reinvigoration of America. We will not be intimidated by politically motivated fear tactics.”
So they're saying in that first sentence that a mass immigration raid is an abuse of power. That's insane. Enforcing the law is not an abuse of power. But this is how radical Democrats are now. Illegal aliens are not "law-abiding" and "patriotic" if they're here illegally. And no, Democrats, "immigrants" - the people who enter the country the right way - are not the same as illegal aliens.
Trust in Pelosi to try to make the situation worse. Threatening to arrest federal agents is new. They try to cover themselves, "if they break California law." But this is Democrats trying to declare a showdown. If they try that, I think the federal government would show them that's not a good move.

Meanwhile, Trump is going around them and dealing with the local mayor on the bigger question of federal deployment against crime in the area. He shows that his action can prompt real action from the locals to improve the situation.
