We've covered some of the interesting excerpts from the new book, "2024: How Trump Retook the White House and the Democrats Lost America."
The book revealed the panic of Joe Biden's aides when a reporter was able to get through to him directly on his private phone, and how they then cut off that phone number, apparently so concerned that they couldn't let him talk by himself.
The book also touched on topics like what Barack Obama and President Donald Trump spoke about at Jimmy Carter's funeral service and why one of the interviews that Kamala Harris did during the campaign was dumped.

Now there's more about that terrible move to pick Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz as her running mate.
You would have thought that the best move was Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro. But it's Kamala, the person who doesn't exactly make the best moves. They had narrowed it down to those two, plus Sen. Mark Kelly (D-AZ). Then they all went to her residence for an interview.
Shapiro was not a "match."
"He came across as overly ambitious, pushing Harris to define what his role would be. He also conceded it would not be natural for him to serve as someone’s number two, leaving Harris with a bad impression," the book states.
Conversely, the authors explain that Walz was "deferential" while "showing no interest in himself" and "flatly denied any interest in running for president."
So instead of picking the guy who was smart and wanted concrete definitions, she chose the guy who sounded like he wasn't being straight about his goals, who even now seems to want national attention.
They knew Shapiro was going to be an issue with the progressives, and they "flagged" some of his comments regarding the Israel-Hamas conflict and the protests.
"Much of the progressive wing of the Democratic Party declared war on Shapiro, largely because of his support of Israel," the book said. "Some Shapiro allies saw the criticism as deeply unfair and borderline antisemitic, since the governor was an observant Jew, but his positions on the Palestinian conflict broadly aligned with the Biden administration and the other vice presidential contenders. The lawyers vetting Shapiro did flag some comments they viewed as more incendiary, particularly as it related to pro- Palestinian protests on college campuses after the October 7 attacks."
"One that caught their attention was his commentary on CNN from April: ‘We have to query whether or not we would tolerate this, if this were people dressed up in KKK outfits or KKK regalia, making comments about people who are African American in our communities.’"
Imagine flagging such comments of righteous concern about the radical protests, especially when it feels like they didn't do much vetting on Walz at all.
Walz even gave them indications of his nervousness, but it didn't register with them.
On Sunday, he told Harris, ‘I would understand if you went with someone else because I’m really nervous about the debate, and I don’t think I’ll do well.’ Still, the vetting team did not fully appreciate his tendency to misspeak, his folksiness sometimes tipping into factual imprecision."
That's my favorite line: "factual imprecision."
Then, of course, the debate was a disaster, and his "factual imprecision" made him a laughing stock and an anchor that contributed to sinking the campaign.
But Kamala went with "her gut" on the decision, which tells you how much her gut was worth. The book claims her team told her that they couldn't say that picking Shapiro would deliver Pennsylvania and Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) was recommending Walz because they thought he could help with men as well as white voters in "the Blue Wall states (Wisconsin, Michigan, and Pennsylvania)." It was a window into how bad her judgment truly was.
There was another big problem that Democratic operative Julian Epstein observed.
"The choice of Walz was only one of many disastrous mistakes but symptomatic of one larger problem – the Democratic Party leadership is too scared to say no to the hard-left progressive wing of the party," Julian Epstein, longtime Democratic operative and former chief counsel to the House Judiciary Committee, told Fox News Digital shortly after the election.
As our sister site Townhall observed, it is a pattern that continues today with the Democrats being animated by someone like NYC mayoral candidate Zohran Mamdani. They're also embracing the radical agenda on things like illegal aliens and other 80/20 issues. It's why they're so unpopular and in such chaos right now.
So keep at it, Democrats, keep revealing who you are to the American people. It's the best thing you can do...for our side.
Editor's Note: The Democrat Party has never been less popular as voters reject its globalist agenda.
