In the wake of the Boulder, Colorado terror attack, you had some folks like Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) finally weighing in.
I am horrified by last night’s horrific attack in Boulder. My heart is with the victims and our Jewish communities across the country.

Antisemitism is on the rise here at home, and we have a moral responsibility to confront and stop it everywhere it exists.

But former Major League Baseball player Kevin Youkilis who helped win two World Series for the Boston Red Sox wasn't having any of the pro forma statement from her, and served her up a little reality.
Jews are targeted with violence and it's the same virtue signal post time and time again. What have you done to confront those calling for intifadas in NYC? Until you create a plan of action, your repeated virtue signaling after the violence occurs holds no weight. https://t.co/V3uIVpUiK1

So when did she vigorously speak out against things like "globalize the intifada" that we saw at so many of these protests?
Youkilis continued to call her out.
Confront the radical mobs chanting for intifadas in NYC. That would be brave leadership but we know politicians, on both sides of the aisle, shy away in fear of losing votes and power.

Again, he's right, but I don't think she's going to be doing that anytime soon, because it wouldn't make the leftist base happy. I don't think anyone takes her words seriously now after her prior actions.

If she's seeking higher office like the presidency - and we know she will be at some point - she's going to have a lot of leftist baggage and radical positions in her background that are likely to sink her. Americans will not elect a leftist and she has to know that.
Virtue signaling isn't going to help her. If she tries to remake herself, it simply isn't going to work.
