Scott Jennings Laughs His Head Off at Dem Excuse for Why Biden 'Fake Town Hall' Went So Wrong

There are a lot of bizarre stories in the book by Jake Tapper and Alex Thompson, "Original Sin."

Some of them we've covered before, some of which were new. Tapper and Thompson have been making the rounds to promote the book. They outlined some concerning stories on CBS and during Megyn Kelly's podcast. Kelly just lit into Tapper for not calling out Joe Biden's cognitive decline when he was in office. It was great and well-deserved. Tapper admitted that conservative media outlets were right on the matter.

Later on CNN, Thompson laid out a stunning story of just how impaired Biden was. His campaign team was filming a fake town hall that they wanted to use for campaign ads. That's so like the Democrats, they were going to try to buffalo the voters into thinking it was real when they filmed it in Delaware with Biden supporters in the spring of 2024. Biden wasn't doing real town halls, Thompson said. But that wasn't even the worst part of the story. It wasn't even usable.

The Biden campaign spent millions to stage a fake town hall — and it was so bad, they couldn’t even use any of it for campaign commercials.

Some people blamed Biden being incoherent, some blamed the “lighting."

"Some said this was because Joe Biden was incoherent, that he could not articulate his thoughts in a pithy, or even semi-normal way," Thompson explained. "Some people just said the lighting was bad. That was the two different points of view." Consider how bad that must be when they can't even get anything usable. And that's something they could control. What about all the day-to-day issues that he was supposed to be addressing that couldn't be controlled? Who was addressing them?

Thompson said that showed what the campaign status was in the spring of 2024, when they were trying to deal with a candidate who was in decline.

CNN commentator Scott Jennings couldn't believe it, "Wait, someone told you the lighting was bad? They spent millions of dollars to stage a town hall, and then 'Oh, we didn’t get the lighting right'? Unbelievable." Jennings' face was something else, and he laughed his head off.

Host Abby Phillip said that raises the question of how many people were aware of stuff like that and said nothing?

There had to be a ton, especially top aides and the Biden family.
