There was a scary moment during a hearing on Wednesday when Secretary of Health and Human Services Robert F. Kennedy Jr. was testifying.
The camera is focused on him. Then, suddenly, you can hear someone yelling and see the officer in the back of the room moving quickly.

Can I say to start that I had to feel for RFK Jr. right at that point because any sudden actions around a Kennedy would give me pause, given the history of attacks on Kennedys. You can see how startled he is. I'm sure the Capitol Police had to be thinking about that, as well.

Fortunately, it wasn't an attack; it was loud protesters, who somehow managed to get in, even with signs. But it's pretty despicable that they did that to Kennedy, and didn't even consider how their actions might be taken. Because they all started screaming at the same time, it was hard to figure out what their "cause" was. They were drowning each other out. I heard "RFK kills" and one woman even yelled, "RFK kills people with AIDS." Huh? What is she even talking about? Kennedy is probably the most active HHS Secretary we've ever seen, for dealing with things that might endanger people.
But Ben Cohen -- yes, that Ben Cohen of "Ben and Jerry's" ice cream fame -- started yelling about Gaza, so then you can figure out what it was about. He got dragged out too, shouting, "Congress kills!" He's been a leftist forever.
What do they think any of this does anyway? Nobody is changing any policy in Gaza because Ben or his compatriots yell their heads off in a committee hearing. So, what's the point in all this?
The Chair of the Health, Education, Labor and Pensions Committee, Sen. Bill Cassidy (R-TN), declared, "That was a made-for-C-Span moment." Indeed.
It didn't end well for the protesters. I have to compliment the Capitol Police on the quick response and hauling these characters out swiftly; they weren't tolerating this nonsense.

Again, I want to know how people got in with signs. And what does Gaza have to do with HHS and RFK Jr.? This is just twisted.
Also, this is the second instance this week where protesters obstructed a proceeding. We saw this during a hearing on Tuesday over Medicaid. Protesters there even appeared to be cheered by Sen. Cory Booker and a couple of other Democratic senators, Sen. Brian Schatz (D-HI) and Sen. Tina Smith (D-MN).

You can protest all you want, but you don't get to disrupt an official proceeding. Republicans need to encourage more action in regard to these cases. The only way this will stop is if they face consequences, and are held accountable for their actions. The Republicans also need to call out the Democrats if they cheer on any such actions, and they need to face consequences, as well.
The Democrat Party has never been less popular as voters reject their globalist agenda.
