As we reported, four House Democrats went down to El Salvador saying they were going to try to meet with Kilmar Abrego Garcia and they were there for his release: Rep. Robert Garcia (D-CA), Rep. Maxwell Frost (D-FL), Rep. Maxine Dexter (D-OR), and Rep. Yassamin Ansari (D-AZ).
But they got rejected from even seeing him because they weren't there on an "official" trip, as Frost revealed. They weren't "official" because House Oversight Committee Chair James Comer (R-KY) said he wasn't going to waste taxpayer money on this excursion.

Four More Dems Continue Down the Train Wreck Path, Now in El Salvador
Dexter also said she was not going to wait; she was there to "release Kilmar Abrego Garcia."

So, how did that work? Are they on their way back to the United States with Abrego Garcia?
Not exactly. Not only didn't that work, but they've already left, without him, despite what Dexter said.
How long was that, a day? Some effort.
Now they're on CNN trying to talk about their great [failed] effort. Dexter claimed it was in the hands of the Trump administration.

She talks about "facilitating his return home." But the U.S. isn't his home, and it's in the hands of El Salvador how to deal with one of their own citizens, not an American citizen.
El Salvador's president has been teasing the Democrats, tweeting about and reposting things about their visit.

Then he managed to find an old post from Maxwell Frost referencing his "gang," and reposted that, with a "shrug" emoji comment.

Frost then claimed he was reposting lyrics, and this was the only "gang" he was in. The tweet he was responding to in 2016 has since been deleted. Wonder why?

So his defense for that tweet is that he was a band nerd?
Looks like Bukele took that exchange any way you want to slice it.
But this is where Democrats are focused instead of the job they're supposed to be doing. They put themselves on this hill and seem content to implode upon it. So as long as we're not paying for their excursions, feel free to continue to embarrass yourselves.
