Raskin's Comment About What Democrats Would Do 'When' They Get Back Power Is Raising Eyebrows

Rep. Jamie Raskin (D-MD) made a comment on the "Pod Save America" show that is raising a lot of eyebrows.

The episode sounds like it was filmed before Sen. Chris Van Hollen (D-MD) met with Kilmar Abrego Garcia in El Salvador, but it appears to have just been released over the weekend.

Tommy Vietor explained to Raskin that a Latin American policy expert had suggested to him that Democrats should “threaten to take action against any foreign government that participates in the extraordinary rendition of American citizens.” (Abrego Garcia isn't an American citizen.) He asked Raskin what he thought about that.

Raskin said he "liked that idea," but he went further.

"It's a complement to something that we need to be doing right now, which is engaging in far more work of transnational democratic solidarity with the democratic governments and the democratic movements and peoples and parties of the world to try to prevent the spread of the lawlessness and the spread of the fascist chaos that's been unleashed against us."

What is he saying there? Is he saying that they should be colluding with foreign governments and peoples against the foreign policy of the duly elected government? He says to prevent "lawlessness" and "fascist chaos," but Democrats tend to use that word broadly to apply to things that aren't fascist. So that's a concerning comment.

There was more.

"Implicit in that should be if and when we come back to power -- and we will -- we are not going to look kindly upon people who...facilitated authoritarianism in our country because that's an assault on our Constitution and on our people."

So basically, he appears to be threatening foreign countries now who would support Trump in what Democrats term "authoritarianism." This is troubling, too. Who is sounding authoritarian and like they want to level retribution here with this comment? This sounds like they want to go after foreign countries if they support Trump, if they decide it's "authoritarian." This could interfere with foreign relations.

Raskin has already gone over the edge in prior unhinged rants, such as when he claimed Elon Musk "illegally seized power" over the financial payment systems of the United States Treasury. He also went on Rachel Maddow's show to claim that Trump, the duly elected president, might somehow be attempting a "coup" that he was "going to stop them and use every means available to us."  Raskin is disconnected from reality.

Raskin is, of course, being loud and spilling the beans again — as he is prone to do. If there weren't already plenty of reasons to vote against these people, this sounds like even more of a reason to never vote them back into power when they think and act like this. They wonder why their approval is in the 20s?

It's things like this that could bring them even lower.

Editor's Note: The Democrat Party has never been less popular as voters reject its globalist agenda.
