Word dropped on Wednesday that Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth had removed U.S. Navy Vice Admiral Shoshana Chatfield from her position as U.S. representative to NATO’s military committee.
Chief Pentagon spokesperson Sean Parnell posted that it was "due to a loss of confidence in her ability to lead."
Secretary Hegseth has removed U.S. Navy Vice Admiral Shoshana Chatfield from her position as U.S. representative to NATO’s military committee due to a loss of confidence in her ability to lead. The Defense Department is grateful for her many years of military service.

"The Defense Department is grateful for her many years of military service," he also added.
But Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-TX) posted about it, talking about an unconfirmed report that the admiral refused to post pictures of the President and the SecDef. But the DOD did not say that, and they have not confirmed those claims.
They fired Navy Vice Admiral Shoshana Chatfield—not because she couldn’t do the job, but because she wouldn’t hang up pictures of Trump and Hegseth. This ain’t about merit—it’s about ego. https://t.co/W20f4xotwB

Now, what's bizarre here is Crockett's comment. She had jaws hitting the floor. She doesn't seem to understand that if what she said about the firing were true, it doesn't help her argument. Crockett doesn't seem to understand that, yes, it's sort of important for members of the military to recognize their chain of command and that there's a problem if they don't. How is she this clueless? It's scary that there's someone in Congress who can't grasp that basic fact.
Chief Pentagon Spokesman Sean Parnell then had to school Crockett on the general concept.
Congresswoman, I realize this may be a foreign concept to you but here at the DoD if you disrespect the chain of command & don’t do your job, you will be replaced.

He shouldn't have to explain that, and especially not to a member of Congress. President Trump is the Commander in Chief, and Hegseth is the Secretary of Defense -- it isn't about "ego." Except maybe Crockett's own ego — she keeps stepping in it when she doesn't know what she's talking about.
Crockett already did just that earlier this week with a new unhinged comment about illegal aliens and picking cotton. President Donald Trump probably spoke for all Republicans when he said that if this was the new "star" of the Democratic Party, they were in "serious trouble." He was basically laughing at how out of touch and unhinged the Democrats were with Crockett out front.
Crockett keeps proving how true it is that Democrats are in serious trouble.
Keep digging that hole deeper, Democrats. You're doing a great job.
Editor's Note: Thanks to President Trump and Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth's leadership, the warrior ethos is coming back to America's military.
