NEW: Report That Three More MSNBC Anchors Just Had Shows Axed

Townhall Media

It's only been a day since the happy news that the execrable Joy Reid got the boot from MSNBC. It was about time — it was a long time coming after all the wild things she's said. It's astonishing, frankly, that it took so long. She should have been fired long ago.

As we reported, Alex Wagner also lost her show in what was clearly the first shot in a restructuring of the programming.

But it looks like they are doing a full house cleaning/reorganization over there. Because now comes word that three other leftist anchors have also had their shows axed: Ayman Mohyeldin, Jonathan Capehart, and Katie Phang.

On Monday, an MSNBC insider told The Post that staff working for Capehart and Phang were informed that their weekend shows will be canceled.

The source spoke shortly after The Guardian reported that Mohyeldin’s program will be taken off the air. His show “Ayman Mohyeldin Reports,” which airs on the weekends at 7 p.m., will broadcast its final episode on April 20, according to the UK paper.

An MSNBC spokesperson confirmed the shakeup when contacted by The Post.

While the MSNBC spokesperson is saying that the two men will get shows in new time slots, they provided no information on the alleged shows.

Phang, who broadcast her show from Miami, was told her program will end as the network sunsets its South Florida-based operations, according to the network.

She will stay on as a legal correspondent.

The shake-up is coming now that Rachel Kutler has taken over the network. They've been in trouble with lower ratings and she likely is hoping these moves will help the situation.

The problem is they face the same problem as CNN. They can boot people, switch shows, and try to make themselves over, but it will tick off the leftists, and then it won't attract new viewers. Why would anyone watch MSNBC at this point? What would they have to offer?

As we reported earlier, Lester Holt is also stepping down from his nightly anchor spot at NBC after ten years. He's going to be doing "Dateline" full-time.

Just to top it all off in all the chaos, an MSNBC legal analyst, Danny Cevallos, also may have killed leftist hopes and dreams when he said over the weekend on Ayman's show that any losses the Trump administration had so far were likely not major setbacks and that the Trump team was likely to win at least some of those issues on appeal.

Any leftists who still may be watching the network must just be tearing their hair out at this point in the face of all this and all the Trump winning.
